Is the ring too prongy or is it just me?

Hi!

Just collected my engagement ring and planning to propose next week. My girlfriend has mentioned to me that she loves tiny prongs, hence this thread. Obviously, I'm not experienced enough to tell. I've seen some really delicate prongs in here but that might be due to the relatively larger center stone.

Here're some pictures of the ring on my finger for your consideration:

No, I think it’s fine. The prongs are fine and elegant over the diamond which is what is immediately noticeable. Though while the prongs over the diamond are nice and slim and pointy, the “struts that hold it safe” are nice and strong. You can’t have thin and wispy and still be “secure”.
She’ll love it.
Congratulations, looking forward to the hand shots.

Looks good! When I think of bulky prongs, I think more to some of the very simple and basic stock settings - I have one which I used as a temp setting before I reset it. Prongs were super thick. This is definitely not that.

I love it. Good luck with the proposal & come back with hand shots!

No, the prongs look good.

Safe, tight & secure, yet delicate & petite. Good luck!! ;)2

Prong perfection:love: Elegant and flowy and sophisticated. Just the right amount of prong and perfect proportion.:appl:

You did a really really good job. Congrats!
I find the prongs to be a very nice shape and very delicate

Looks wonderful! Also, please don't be worried about the details of the ring at the moment. You put in the hard work and bought something beautiful for your future wife. Get ready and focus on that engagement. If and only if your fiance has any commentary, then you might start to ask for opinions on this forum. Otherwise, don't get distracted about something that might not happen. Very excited for your proposal and look forward for hand shots later!!!! Enjoy!!!

I think it's perfect!

Agree - you're all good.

It’s perfect, prongs and all! I especially love the two tone style - rose gold is so delicious!

The ring is very well made and the prongs are lovely!

Looks great! Was expecting so much worse lol . It’s a beautiful ring!

Very nice! But can you pls share the size of the stone? That will give a better sense of the size of the prongs. it makes a big difference if it's a .5ct diamond, or a 5 ct diamond!

And can you pls share the name of the company that made the ring? This looks like one to add to our 'recommend' list.

Your fiancee is going to love it!

It’s beautiful!

HI:

No concerns here!

cheers--Sharon

It's perfect ~ she's going to LOVE it!! :D

It looks perfect! You can never go wrong with a classic solitaire like that!

I was expecting huge LEGO sized prongs or something along that line....they look beautifully done!!

It's beautifully dainty. I don't think you could ask for much better than that!

Can I ask who did the setting for you?

Looks fine to me! Such a classic setting.

Thank you, to all of you! You've removed my doubts about the prongs.

@mrs-b and @tyty333 - it's a 1.09 ct stone - details are here if you like to know more - https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/loose-diamond-scope-images-advice.239874/#post-4330931

The stone and settings are from Jannpaul. Basically I picked one of their base tiffany settings and mentioned that I would like the band to be in rose gold with white gold prongs (6 sharp tip prongs). They work their magic thereafter.

Cheers

Very nice, @Mrmaru! And 1.09ct is a lovely size for a solitaire. They did a wonderful job on a classy, timeless setting.

She's going to love it!
