Is this a fair price quoted for diamond ear rings?

Hello,

I have been shopping in Hatton Garden, London today and want to get my wife some diamond earrings.

She’s only petite so doesn’t want anything huge.

I was quoted £1050 / $1350 for:

Emerald Cut Natural Diamond Earrings 0.20ct Each with a diamond halo, D colour, VS1 clarity in Platinum 950.

Do you think that’s a fair price?

the center stones are each .20 ct and there is a halo surrounding the center stone? Do you know the ct of the halo? Or the total ct wt of the set of earrings?

There’s a halo surrounding the centre stone - I don’t know the ct of the halo or tcw

There are probably less expensive places to shop diamonds than Hatton Garden. However this costs time and energy. If you like the earrings and they are within budget, go for it. The price does not seem outrageous.
