Hi all,
I found this site through other sites as a good place for diamond info as I am currently looking for a engagment ring for my gf. I bought a few pieces from local places like Kay but I dont think they have great prices for the quality they sell. I found this ring on sam''s club and I know its not a "jewlery" store but it looks pretty good online. Do you think I could find a better deal shopping around? My range is say upto $7000. Thanks for any info or recommended sites.

you have a great budget. I''d recommend hanging out here on PS and learning a bit b/f you purchase a ring from sam''sclub.

there are many well respected vendors here that have very competitive pricing and can help you find the prefect stone and setting.

For that type of diamond that they are talking about, that is a really good, maybe too good to be true? For some reason, I just would not feel comfortable ordering from Sam''s Club. I agree and you should look around Pricescope to get a better idea of prices and good diamonds.

I have had great experiences ordering from Firenze Jewels. You can search for the diamond and the setting separately, so this gives you more bang for you buck with your budget.

It's IGI certified, and I think most PSer's would only be comfortable with a GIA or AGS certified stone, including me. Also am I missing where it states the cut quality? If so, that's a BIG red flag. Again, 99.9% of PSer's would want an ideal cut round. Cut is what makes a diamond sparkle.

You have a great budget. You can do much better. On a rather superficial note, I personally wouldn't want an engagement ring from Sam's Club.
