Is this a joke?

It’s not a sapphire. It’s a very rare gem called Afghanite.
Finding one in that size is even rarer. That’s why it has a notable report accompanying it.
Nor really a gem for setting, more a collectors gem

Yeah its afghanite. A few days ago they had it listed for 13.5k, however, so the value/price is seemingly not firm.afghanite.png

I saw this and thought it was very cool. And the "Fanta" fluorescence is wild, too. But the combination kinda gives me pause -- blue + orange makes brown, right?

It is very pretty. No doubt it will have a buyer considering how rare it is and all the paperwork it comes with. I wonder how its fluorescence affects it in sunlight, would it be electric blue like Luc Yen spinels? A cobalt blue spinel of this size would fetch crazy prices, no doubt.

The video of the stone appears to be taken outdoors. It could be that sunlight is not enough to trigger the orange fluorescence. Not sure.

And here I thought because the seller is in Norway, the currency was Krone and 18k Krone would be about 2,100 USD.
I was soo wrong.. :oops2:
