Hi, any advices are really appreciated, thank you!

EDIT: Blue Nile has done the checks for me - no BGM, eyeclean and 'is free of any inclusions near the girdle that would compromise the diamond'. Just wondering if the last part about the inclusion near the girdle is true, as it looks pretty large on the 360 view.

Anyone who can share their thoughts on this? Sorry, I have to make the decisions soon.

I'm very confused. The 360 view appears to show a different stone from the still view. @Karl_K am I crazy?

I overall am not a huge fan of 60/60 style diamonds and prefer more traditional proportions, but it isnt a "bad" choice either

Same love dogs. Also, it says the stone is sold .

your not crazy its a different diamond.

I think the 360 is more likely the correct images but that needs to be sorted out for sure.
Its not bad but there are better out there.

Thank you guys, I appreciate the help very much. I put a hold on this but perhaps best to seek an alternative in the meantime.

Would you be open to buying from a different vendor? You can get a super ideal cut diamond from vendors such as Whiteflash, Victor Canera, or Brian Gavin Diamonds which will blow any of the Blue Nile diamonds out of the water.

The issue is I'm in Canada and my budget is set to be around 9k Canadian dollars, so my choices are mostly limited to BN and JA I feel. I am getting exhausted from all the comparisons and research, and I think so far this one I'm holding is still the best I can find under 9k lol. But yes, any further tips are really appreciated.

What size, clarity, color are you looking for?

1.01 carat minimum, H clarity, and SI1 eye-clean with no BGM and durability concerns. 8.8k - 9.2k Canadian dollar price range is fine.

EDIT: No fluorescence/faint ones, triple EX and 6.40mm-6.40mm minimum in measurements. Sorry for being very specific...

There are lots of “A Cut Above” (ACA) in your price range at Whiteflash. I converted your budget to USD. It looks like you would have to go down to I color though. Their ACAs are stunning…you could reach out to them to ask for a video of an I you would be considering next to an H to see if the difference is noticeable to you and if it would really bother you. They also have a very generous upgrade program so you could always upgrade the color in the future. For example, not quite 1.01 ct, but close enough?https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4430102.htm

A few options you can take a look at.

Heres an option from victor canera that is gorgeous and I think in your budget: https://www.victorcanera.com/diamonds/CJA46U/0.928ct-G-VS1-hearts-arrows-round-natural-diamond

Or here are some from WF:

Oops. I had my post drafted and didnt see OPs reply about H+ color and 6.40+mm. The ones I linked arent all H (one is I color), and some are a tiny bit below 6.4mm.

Thank you so much for all your help, you guys are awesome! I have pretty much settled with the 1.06 carat one on JA at this point, as my lady cares about the carat size the most, followed by the measurement dimensions, cut quality and sparkles.

Now, time to find that setting...

Go with what ever your heart desires, but be aware that a super ideal with look larger than tiple ex of the same size and often those than are a little bigger as well.

This video by JannPaul really put thing sinto perspecitve for me when I was considering my ACA from Whiteflash:

Edit: Just saw your last post, I'm sure if the others have recommended that one it will be amazing =)2

I have some further questions about the 1.06 carat one: (put a hold on it so the reason why it is not available):

There seems to be a crystal close to the middle of the table. Would that still make the stone eye-clean in this case? Even though it is white/transparent looking it seems a bit large in size which makes me a bit worried.
(I talked to JA - they replied right away and said that the stone is eye-clean and has no BGM, so not sure if they actually checked with vendor at all lol.)

And I think this is just me perhaps - does the diamond actually look slightly more on the yellow-ish side?

It's a fantastic stone, so just really want to make sure, thank you guys.

Given the size and color of the inclusion, it looks very likely to be eye-clean. And the color doesn't look any more tinted than the other Hs to my eye.

Agreed about both points

Take a look at this 1.034 I VS1 ACA with a 40.8/34.5/55.5 combo - I know it's an I color, but it may be a bit closer to H grade than many other I color diamonds (note the saturation levels out near the edges of the crowns and girdles for all of them listed below).
The reason that I am posting moving down a color grade (and the added perk of moving up a clarity grade) is the return on investment: bona-fide cut perfection and proven optical performance, coupled with the absolute best upgrade policy that only a couple/few sellers offer.
If you want to stick with H or better, then jump all over that 1.06 H VS2 from JA.
