Is this LV bag too over the top?

I get to choose an LV bag as a graduation gift and I''m trying to pick one.

Call me crazy but I''m really loving this bright red bag. I wear a lot of black and white and this would be really cute to spice things up. I already have some LV staples so I want to think outside the box this time. What do you think?

Golden, that is the Roxbury I think. I have it in white and in chestnut. You can use it as a clutch or with the strap. I like it a lot, but it is not an every day bag. The vernis can be more fragile. I love it with black and white and grey and navy and camel so I think you should mix things up a bit. It is a lovely red and a simply shaped bag, so go for it. It will not hold a lot though. More for nighttime since it is not as durable or practical for daily use.

Thanks for the feedback! I was definitely thinking of this as an evening or otherwise dressy bag. It looks smallish and has the right look for dressing up.

My second choice is the Damier Trevi. That would be an everyday bag.

I''m really leaning toward this red one because its very cute and different.

I do not know that one. There is a new monogram one that I am in love with, cannot recall the name.

But the red is cool and a bit different too, so I would grab it.

I love the red. The other is great too. I will look up the new one I saw and tell you about it. It is lovely, it looked really nice IRL on the lady I saw it on.

Do you have an LV already? If not, then I would get something a little more basic like the Trevi. If you already have a couple then go for the red! I do remember the SA at LV saying something about the color rubbing off of the vernis bags or something like that and you have to watch what you wear it with or the red may rub off onto your white pants. Both are super cute though!

But no. FI is already indulging me as it is. I can buy myself another bag some time in the future, after our wedding.

I''m using any other money I get for my wedding dress.

Oobiecoo-- Yes, I have basic bags in Monogram, Damier, and Monogram Glace (which they don''t make anymore). I can be more adventurous with this one.

FI doesn't like the Trevi. But he doesn't know anything about women's fashion.

It looks like its going to be the Roxbury. Unless I change my mind and exchange the bag at the store without FI.

The red is a stunner.. I loooove it!
I was almost going to get it myself, but I''m really rough on my stuff.

The vernis is definitely much more delicate than the other LV lines.
