Is this too much leakage in ASET image?

I've spent the last three weeks reading a ton on round diamonds and have come across a lot of threads on on Pricescope that have been really helpful, so thanks to everyone out there sharing their knowledge.

I've read a lot on complimentary angles, diamonds that are steep deep and leaky tables. This is really the first ASET image that I'm looking deep into so I'd like to get some folks' opinions.

I've already made the purchase and it's on its way to me for inspection. Should I be looking out for a leaky table here? Will this diamond have good scintillation and fire? What do I really need to look for when I see it in real life? Is this bad to the point where I should expect to see the ring of death? How concerned should I be with the hearts not being super symmetrical? Are the angles of the pavilion and crown so bad that I should be looking for something else? I know a lot of people will say this crown and pavilion combo is a steep deep but my amateur opinion says this is on the bigger spread for the carat weight, am I wrong?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

This isn't a perfect H&A stone. However, the hearts image is pretty decent.

But symmetry isn't as much the issue. The real issue is the stone is leaking and the ASET is showing you that. Steep crown & steep pavilion isn't playing nice together. I am not sure your budget constraints, etc but I would likely return and purchase a different stone with better performance.

Example of what the leakage may look like. Notice how the different color backgrounds enhance/hide leakage? Very obvious in 3-black but less obvious in 1-silver. Yet in 6, you see flesh tone from the fingers.

Thanks for your reply Sledge and sharing the article. The image you shared will really help me when I go see the diamond in person this week, especially #6.

I'm sitting at the 30k range for a diamond and can go up a little bit for the right one. I really want this diamond to work for me but I will be critical since this is for an engagement ring and I personally don't like the idea of upgrading down the road. The engagement ring is a one shot thing. If another diamond is purchased later down the road, it will not replace this so it's important I get the right one the first time.

Thanks again for confirming my suspicion of the leakage. I really appreciate it :)
