In a short-term situation? I ordered a cheapie surgical steel band to wear next to my e-ring for a week or so, to see if I like the look (width and metal identical in appearance to one I''m currently planning to buy as my wedding band, in platinum).

Will it scratch my ering, or will my ering scratch it (the latter=not a problem for me)? Any problems that would mean I shouldn''t wear them together for a week?

Steel is a much stronger metal than platinum and gold, so yes, you may have problems with scratching your e-ring. I wouldn''t wear them together for any length of time.

Thanks, curiopotter!!

Musey, I know this is weird, but I have been searching high and low for wedding bands and in my search I came across one that reminded me of your ring, kinda.
Here is the link to the page:
http://www.pearcejewelers.com/bridal.cfm half way down on the left side of the page, number RB 281LG. I thought that if you got them to "divide" the bead part so that it has the two horizontals like yours that it might be a great match. KWIM? Just a thought.

Cool find, Alleyoop! Knowing me, I think I''d forever be driving myself crazy trying to line up that bead part, though!!
