Hi y’all,

This morning while I was taking photos of some of my favourite jewelry pieces, aiming to take part in “Your most favourite five pieces”, I realised I never had a thread dedicated to my recent anniversary ring - a Victorian flower cluster. Total c 0.75ct OMCs (E colour, SI1-2) in 15ct yellow gold original flower setting (size N, US 7). I do think she deserves to have her own thread:kiss2: and mark her debut here, but I will let you be the judge cuz I am completely blinded by her dazzling beauty. :rolleyes2::mrgreen2:;)2

One more thing before you all scroll down to pictures, i’d appreciate your thought on sth. I was given the task by DH to pick my birthday present this year as it’s gonna be a milestone one (still more than half year to go but hey time flies, right?:P2) - I am loving this as I got the best excuse to justify any sneaky purchases here and there:lol:. Long story short, my hubby offered me to pick either a nice watch (I did just receive a gorgeous automatic nomos from him a year and half ago though, but he is a guy and watch is his thing!:Up_to_something2:) or I could pick an antique OEC solitaire ring (I did recently get the antique cluster ring posted here and my five stone antique OEC ring posted in another thread, but I guess you can never get enough blings, especially OECs, right?) If you were me, what would you pick? :rolleyes2: Watch or ring? Ring or watch? o_O:geek2::lol-2:Thanks so much!!:kiss2:

Handshots to follow shortly :mrgreen2:.

What an unusual and really pretty ring! As far as the birthday present goes, I vote for the OEC solitaire. Probably because I want one so bad!

Thanks Natasha! Looking at your avatar, perhaps I should ask for a cat as my pressie, desperately wanting one, no actually two!!:mrgreen2::lol-2:

Gorgeous and unique ring. I would chose the OEC solitaire.

What a lovely lovely ring.
I’m the watch collector so of course I say watch.
But buy a vintage manual wind one, an Art Deco one set with diamonds or a covered dial one which looks like a bracelet.
Special
Or a cat.:appl:

An antique watch with diamonds:kiss2: - well well one stone two birds...!! will be doing some research then. Thanks Bron!!

Your ring is stunning!!:sun: I love it!
For me the decision is easy. I hate for us to influence you though...the OEC Solitaire:lol-2:

I LOVE this cluster ring! Jewelry-art. Love it!

And re the choice - the solitaire, d'uh! :wavey:

This is beautiful!! I love how there are petals rather than just prongs holding the stones in place- it makes it so much more 3D and sculptural. Gorgeous!

... I would probably go with the OEC if you already have a nice watch. But hey- I am a PSer...

I absolutely adore your Victorian cluster ring!! In answer to your quandary, I would choose the OEC solitaire every day of the week and twice on Sunday, but that's just me!

I love love love antique flower cluster rings and this one is gorgeous! Congratulations!

I love that, I was expecting the more common flower cluster. The sharper petal edges are lovely especially with the round diamonds. Unique!

Congrats, I love flower ring!!!

Love love love:-o gorgeous and so unique! :appl:

Wow this cluster is so beautiful! And very different too.
I’d vote for a solitaire unless you have a particular watch in mind..

it's beautiful.. it looks wonderful on your hand!!!

Very pretty!!!! :appl:

Wow, very unique and beautiful ring! If it was me, I would go for the OEC solitaire but then I am another one that wants one badly. LOL

That is so pretty! I love the little petals...

That’s one of the nicest Victorian clusters I’ve seen! :kiss2:

For your birthday, might I suggest an OEC solitaire tied with a silk ribbon to the collar of the fluffiest kitten your husband can find?

Thanks all, looks like OEC is the clear winner! What do I expect asking this at PS?;)2:kiss2: Now I am all excited, let the treasure hunt start! :appl:

Thanks JPie! guess my picture taking skills are improving, lol.

Well what a brilliant idea, I love the sound of it and he needs to read the thread! Although the most likely scenario will be - I found my OEC solitaire way before my bday and start negotiating for other goodies/treats (incl. kittens) right away. I’m so not the romantic type...:kiss2:

Thanks foxinsox! I do like to get myself a ballon bleu, but the desire for an OEC tops that and I have a tank to play with for now. ;)
