Wow. I while ago I decided to start shopping at Nordstroms more for certain types of items (work and dressier things), even though it meant buying fewer items as Nordie's is somewhat pricier than other stores.

And I cannot tell you how happy I am with that decision! First, they price match without quibble. Second their alterations are spot on. Third if something has an issue they will repair, replace or refund without blinking. Nordstroms also, FYI, has a "Rack" section online now. It's not like the real Rack where you can get some amazing 'only one left and 75% off' finds, but it is a nice feature they are expanding. And finally, I have never had a grumpy or irritated salesperson. I've seen flustered and overwhelmed at their sales, but they are usually staffed pretty well, and they apologize for it so many times that I personally just have no issue waiting an extra few minutes.

I bought a jacket from them this weekend. It was only 33% off in the store but 50% off online. I called them that day and they did a price adjustment for me over the phone, gave me no hassle, and even emailed me confirmation immediately. Then they (on their own!) checked over the other items on my reciept to see if there were any other discrepancies and apologies for the inconvenience.

Love them. That's all. Had to share.
 
That is really cool. We don't have a shop like that here in the UK. We have Marks and Spencer who are great for returning or refunding but not price matching.
 
Me too! They really know how to go above and beyond and that's worth a lot these days. I remember two years ago I ordered a bag online from them and somehow it was never delivered, when I called to get an update they immediately sent out a replacement overnight no questions asked and did a price adjustment because it had gone on sale. I wish all stores were that pleasant to shop at!
 
I shop at Nordstrom for all the same reasons. They have the most amazing customer service- I've never found anyone that even comes close to them. I love that they never, ever question you when you're making a return or make you feel guilty. I love that if I lose my receipt, they can still find me in the system and it's never an issue.

I also love that my Nordstrom card earns me credit to spend in the store. But that's kind of dangerous!!
 
I have to say, that really is great customer care.

I've been shopping a lot at Nordstrom lately. Their return policy is great. And I love the "Rack" section online.
 
While I haven't had much experience with their customer service, I too love shopping at Nordstrom. I didn't know that they did price matching, great to know! Are there any limitations? I.e., If I found an ebay seller for less, do you think they would they match it or is that a silly question?
 
Price match is on exact same item in the same color at a store-- and they need to be able to look it up to verify (so online coupons or sales are easiest). So for my Cole Haan heels the Cole Haan Store was offering 30% off one day and Nordstrom price matched. And for my vera wang flats bloomingdales had 30% off of them, and they price matched.

Most of the time their stuff isn't found anywhere else, but for cosmetics and shoes, it's helpful. Oh, and handbags.
