how incredibly helpful and just genuinely NICE everyone on PS is. I have yet to read a mean or unkind post. Everyone responds with the same enthusiasm over someone''s 3ct D VVS bling as a .25ct M SI2 bling
even posts that go back and forth (cash bar, anyone?) people''s opinions are very strong, but always written is such a nice way as to no offend.
I don''t know if everyone here also goes to theknot.com but WOW some of those posts are plain NASTY.....

Anyway, just had to say it''s so nice to come here, start a thread, post, whatever and to not have your head ripped off

Ditto.
People are honest and sometimes that can hurt, however, if the reader takes the post in the spirit in which it was intended, it is hard to be offended.
I have really appreciated what a safe and informative forum this is. I have never done this type of thing online and I appreciate the wealth of information everyone has to share and their willingness to voice their opinion, popular or not. It is constructive and most of all tons of fun!

Neveah, it's a good thing that small things (like, say, well cut diamonds) are just as beautiful and coo-worthy as honkers cause otherwise little pint-sized me (never mind my pint-sized stone!) would be in trouble! Beauty come in all sizes with diamonds too.

I'm often touched by the kindness and helpfulness of the gals here too. And I learn soooo much from them.

Can't wait to meet Anchor next week! My first PS'er in 'real life'.

I agree, PS is a lovely warm safe place to be. Its nothing like some of the places I have posted before. There are some mean people around, but thank goodness they aren''t here.

My FI laughs at me and shakes his head every time I laugh out loud at what someone has written, and I don''t think he''ll ever get it. I don''t understand how he could spend hours playing X-Box, so there you go.

I can''t wait for the Boston-area get together after Christmas. It will be so much fun to meet everyone. I think it will be hard to keep everyone''s names straight though. I''ll want to call Selkie, well, Selkie, and so on, ya know? There are so many non-New Englanders that I''d love to meet someday.

What? Selkie IS my real name, dontcha know!

And I just know I''m going to keep accidentally calling you Zoe even when I know your real one. Doesn''t help that it''s one of my favorite names, and my best friend''s name.

I never thought, when I first came to PS to find help on my ring, that I''d still be around after almost 2 years! It''s like a one-stop forum for information about well, life! That''s a bit of an exaggeration, but you can find a thread on almost every topic. And I don''t know if it''s because most of us came here to do our research and get educated, but it seems like a particularly informed, thoughtful, and rational group (unlike SOME other bridal forums that shall not be named).

The PSers I''ve met in real life have been great, too, just like you would expect from their posts here!

Yes!! I completely agree, Zoe. This is the kindest, most fun online community I''ve ever participated in. It especially means a lot to me, living in a new city with no friends here. Thanks for all of the advice and support, PSers!
