It''s Bar Time! (Exam, that is!)

I believe many states are holding their bar exams for law grads this week. My FI is taking the first section of his two day bar exam here in Michigan right now. This caps a whole summer of studying, attending review classes, and fretting over this test. He''s been worried and a little high maintenance at times, but I think he''s prepared and will do well. I am getting a bunch of wedding planning done while left to my own devices for the next few days.

Send lots of good vibes and positive thoughts his way, please!

Hi all, I just finished taking the bar about...2 hours ago. When we were done, they gave us this:

Made me feel like a kid who just left the doctor's office after a VERY VERY PAINFUL ORDEAL, but I have to say that the taste of freedom is so so sweet right now. Had I known the extent of the torture and misery this summer, I might have very well reconsidered becoming a lawyer. I took the NY bar on Tuesday, the Multistate on Wednesday, and the NJ bar today. My fiance was super though, he stayed with me all 3 days and woke up with me each morning at 5:45am to drive me to the test site. He said since I am so miserable waking up at the crack of dawn every day, he would be miserable with me

My mind is absolutely numb right now. This comes after 10 weeks of non-stop studying 7 days a week. It is actually a rather strange feeling to suddenly have your life back again. I don't even know what to do with myself tomorrow! One thing is for sure though. It is finally time to sleep!!

Anyone else just finish the bar (or have a fiance who just finished)?

I took it in 2001. It was a horrid two days. The night after we finished, we all decided to go out to celebrate...but we were all too tired. One drink and we were falling asleep in our beers. Pathetic!

And just a word of warning...it takes the brain some time to recover. I honestly think studying for the bar is like crying to cram a ton of stuff in a garbage bag...and in order to get all the law stuff in, other things kind of leak out.

I forgot about the month of November after the summer I took it...We were having Halloween party that year...and I had a wedding I had to be in on December 1st...and they were in different states. I told my friend we'd have to change the date of the party to earlier in October because of the wedding...

My friend looked at me, and said, ah, yeah...November?

Yep. Totally forgot about that month. And I love Thanksgiving!

I just finished taking mine yesterday and they sure as hell didn;t give me any chocolate

But then again, mine wasn''t 3 days! LOL
I''m just drained. I just crashed when I got home yesterday. Today I called all the people I''ve ignored for the past 2 months while I was lounging by the pool

Yes Congratulations to all of those who took the bar, and to all of those who had to put up with people studying for the Bar!!

My bf just finished today after 3 days, he says it was the worst three days of his life.

If you are done, go celebrate!!! Congratulmalations!!!!

My fiance'' and I celebrated after he finished his two day ordeal this week by going to a local bar having 1/2 off drink specials with some of his buddies. Like many of you have mentioned, most of them were out of there by midnight, they just couldn''t stay awake and in party mode! FI slept a lot yesterday as we drove around since I had to run errands with him - he''s recharging his batteries. He starts his job on Monday, so I am leaving him alone to rest.

man, i''m surprised to see bar exams out there only lasting 2 days. Especially NY being one day and NJ another day. I also didn''t get any chocolate either. I feel screwed! The Cali bar sucked. I''m a lawyer, I''m the one who''s supposed to do the screwing.
