picked up the diamond today and it is soooo beautiful !! and white !!

I really want to say thank you to Jim Schultz and his team - Josh, Adam, Tammy, Lynda and Jessica for their dedicated and hands on help, and the patience they had for all of my requests and concerns going through this upgrading process.

diamond stats :

3.075ct H VS1 AGS000

9.36mm x 9.39mm x 5.74mm

HCA 0.9 TIC RANGE

love the high crown :) :)

i am so glad i made the decision to go with this stone... thank you everyone for all of your advice and suggestions ! :wavey:

i will be sending the diamond to VC this monday, so in the meantime, some photos for your viewing pleasure :D

photos are taken at night so lots of warm colored lighting in the room...

I am sooooo glad you went with this. It's so white (even in the so-called "warm" environment) and I love high crown too. It looks HUGE on your tiny and slender hand. I can certainly see the size difference, even without the comparison with your old stone.

Can't wait to see more pics.

thanks everyone !

first time seeing the diamond outside of the JA office in daylight... it's lovely, and very white ! i don't think i'd be able to tell the difference between my ex- G and the current H ... i had been seeing my G colored stone every morning at the same spot by the window where i put my makeup on, and this morning seeing this new diamond i feel like i am looking at the exact same diamond, just bigger ! :appl:

Color aside, can you see any difference in the stones in terms of their cut?

MGR, both diamonds are pretty much on par, except for a few new nuances ... the 3.075ct diamond has nicer arrows (more crisp), medium girdle vs slightly thick on the 2.32, so the 3.075 has a slightly better spread than the 2.32, which faces up closer to a 2.25ct. i am not able to tell anything about the fire yet and i'm dying to take it to a spotlight to check it out... this diamond is pretty interesting as the LGF is 80 but with a hight crown at 35.2 .

would appreciate for some insight on this !

Well, I am glad to hear that you find both stones to be somewhat similar in performance - that negates any regret in trading! They do have different crown and pavilion angles but at first glance of the new stone I'm hard pressed to tell a big difference between the stones save for size. I don't see any color in this new stone that would prevent me from loving it!

As for fire, I think any well cut stone will exhibit good fire in the correct lighting - I doubt this new stone will disappoint in that area either!
