I've accidentally bought a zircon on eBay!

As the title says, I have bought a zircon on eBay accidentally. I bid on an item a few days ago, but I thought, I'm going to be outbid by other buyers. This hasn't happened, and I won!

I think and hope the stone is not as bad, but I let myself be surprised, as the item was quite cheap, only 59 usd.

It’s very pretty! And this seller is good. You can return if it doesn’t work out easily.
 
I think it’s beautiful. The color of yours is really lovely. It’s going to be super sparkly. You can’t go wrong with blue zircon. They are all sparklebombs.

Do you already have setting plans in case you indeed love the stone upon arrival?

Return is not really an option at this purchase price, because the return cost would be too high in relation to the purchase price.

As this was a purchase, I really haven’t planned, I don’t have any plans with it. At first I would like to see the stone, and then I’m going to make up my mind. Maybe an other ring, but a pendant would be also a good idea.

I think you got a great deal if the stone looks close to the picture. Zircons are so lively and beautiful. Can't wait to hear your impression of the stone when it arrives.

I’m afraid, it’s going to take a few weeks, until I get it, but you can be sure, i post pictures, as soon as it arrives!
 
It looks very pretty to me. And what a great price! How funny to "accidentally" buy a gemstone! I think I'm going to try that one on my husband. "Gee honey, it was an accident!" :roll2:
 
Looks really nice! I’ve bought some inexpensive stones for them before and was pleasantly surprised. Hope it doesn’t disappoint!

Maybe accidentally is not the right word. I meant, I was sure I’m going to be overbid. I was surprised, that no one else has even bid.
English is also not my mother tongue, maybe there is a better word than accidentally.
But you still can use it as excuse next time!:lol:

I too expected to be outbid. But, if they are nice and match my fickle colored spinel, it will end a long search.

Your zircon looks beautiful. What are you going to do with it (if its as nice in person)?

I don’t know, what I’m going to do with it, maybe one more ring or a pendant.
I want to wait with this decision, and see the stone first.
Return is no option, as the shipping costs back to Thailand from Austria are too high. I’ve just looked it up, it is 15 USD, and the stone was 59 USD.
 
I'm hoping they will work as side stones for a 3-stone bezel, but my backup is a pair or bezel earring for my sister.
 
What a nice idea! Earrings for your sister!
But I still hope they work out as sidestones.
 
Just a small update:
One day after I have purchased, I’ve got a tracking number (USPS). I waited 11 days patiently, but it showed me always the message, that the shipment is still not in the system, and tracking is not possible. Yesterday I just thought to myself, that I should better contact the seller, and ask what is going on.

Today morning two messages were waiting for me. In the first one he promised to look after the case as soon as he arrives in the office, and in the second one he sent me the correct website, where I could track my order. His name is Manit. So he was really professionally handling my question, I’m pleasantly surprised.

According to tracking history my zircon already arrived to my country!! I hope to get it next week. Customs in my country are not famous for their working tempo!!

Today my stone came. I’ve taken a few pictures:

This stone is a real chameleon. All of the pictures were taken inside on a rainy day.

I think it has a bit of zoning, if I can call it zoning in a zircon. I assume someone more educated can tell me what I see, but I think it’s because of the not too perfect cut.
 
The color is really pretty but I see what you mean about the dark area. Would that close up in the right setting perhaps? Love the color and the shape. What are your thoughts?

Today we had a beautiful sunny day, so I’ve made a photo session for my colored stones. The zircon did perfectly well:

Next to it is my mahenge garnet, which is still not set, although I have the setting, but I haven’t had the time to take it to the setter.
