Omg, i had been soooo stressed out cuz everything was booked on my original date (chosen due to the church), no decent reception places, photographers were booking faster than I could schedule appts to meet them (~1 year ahead of time!) - so we decided to see what would happen if we gave up the church date (which is a HUGE deal, time slots for weddings at the church we booked are rarer and harder to come by than pots of gold!!!) and lo and behold EVERYTHING opened up! Apparently everyone and their mam is getting married in houston on april 29th!!

no my biggest woe is affording the dresses i love!! anyone wanna see pics and help me decide my choices so far?

Thanks! The place is really gorgeous! I''m excited to start thinking about decorating it. The garden is also very pretty, but much smaller than the photos make it look!

I''m hoping to have a garden ceremony, but all of it is wetaher dependant -- crossed finger for a gorgeous May 6, 2006!!!

Ginger! I love it!!! One girl had her ceremony & reception there and it was in Knot Texas weddings or one of local mags...I think I still have it, if you want to borrow it.

LOL, sounds like you are off to a great start!! Janet Roe did my best friends wedding- she has the pics on line- can''t remember what she named it... Jennifer and Jay are their names- but besides that- she does STUNNING work- I can tell you from personal experience!! It was amazing the shots she got- really captured the mood and the fun that we had- good choice.

Try Brickhouse Bridal for the gowns- they are in the Woodlands and they carry alot of designers at really inexpensive prices...I got my dress there and I can''t rave enough about the service and choice- ask for Michelle....

Good to hear things are off to a running start- it will be here before you know it- ENJOY!!

May 6, 2006 is the BIG DAY!!! Yesterday we went to a catering tasting event at another reception place and THANK GOD I already booked another place because it was GORGEOUS and EXPENSIVE (www.pmhouston.com) Pictures do not do it justice. HAs the spanishy feel and is crawling with vines and lush greenery. OH so pretty!!!

We also met a pastor who seemed very nice, so we might book him. We also got along well with a DJ, but he''s on the more expensive side I think. How much does the average DJ cost anyway? i don''t even know where to jump off from as far as price goes.

Oooh...but we finally, serendiptiously, met the limo service that we''ve been trying to track down so we can get our vintage rolls for our getaway. I''m excited!!!!

I went to a wedding at PM last year. It was really pretty, but the bathrooms were hard to find, and also with all the stairs, not very handicapped accessable. I was afraid I was going to fall. I know you will love the venue you chose!
