I'm completely devasteted! It seems, I've lost my JA heart shaped pendant, what I have purchased last year in November.

We have been last week on Saturday on a ball, but I still can remember, that I've put on the necklace in the morning on Sunday after the ball, and I went down for breakfast in the hotel. Then I drove home from the hotel, but I can't remember, if I had it on, as I arrived home.

I have looked already everywhere, in my car, everywhere at home, but I can't find it. I'm afraid, it's lost.

I'm so sad, I just can't believe, that I lost it. I've never have lost any jewelry in the last 10 years.

I don't expect any ideas from you, where to look, I just wanted to write down my disappointment, and my sadness. Thank you for reading!

How awful for you. Hugs. :(2

That's awful. I'm missing a 1 carat tw channel set band and a sapphire 2mm band. I just figure don't panic, they will turn up sooner or later.

I hope your pendant turns up soon!

Oh no I am so sorry! :blackeye: It's a very sad feeling losing a piece of cherished jewelry.
I hope it turns up and isn't lost forever.

I know you said you weren't looking for ideas but just throwing a couple of thoughts out there in case it might help.
Have you called the hotel? Have to searched the entire car? Under the car mats?
Checked all the clothes you were wearing? The coat/shoes etc. I once found a bracelet in a sock.

Sending good luck dust your way and I hope you find it!

I'm so sorry!! Sending hugs and hoping maybe it will show up and surprise you!!

I'm sorry! I'm sending lots of dust , hoping it will turn up!

I am soooo sorry!! I am very attached to some.. scratch that ALL of my jewelry.. and although i rarely loose anything it's devastating. I lost a cheap CZ bracelet that everyone thought was real diamonds because it was well done and dainty.. it was alternating marquise and rounds... it was like 3 years ago and I still miss that thing. I feel for you!

oh you poor thing. Do you think the entire necklace dropped off? Did you take it off and leave it anywhere and completely blanked it out? Sometimes I do stuff like that with rings.

Sending good vibes your way. Hope you find it. Have you checked your clothing, may have fallen into your blouse or another piece of clothing while you were taking it off? Not a good feeling - been there. Sorry that you lost. Your necklace.

On my first OS holiday I got a “freebie” night in a French hotel with my plane ticket. After that night I packed myself up and moved to the other hotel about 1 km away. I do some sight seeing, have some lunch and head back to my hotel. In the bathroom my heart plummets to my feet as I realize one of my peridot earrings is not in my ear.
These are my most precious earrings from my deceased grandma. Here I am in France, alone (my friend arrives Tomorrow) sobbing my eyes out.
I retrace my steps as best I can and head back to the other hotel looking desperately along the ground, these are like tiny 4mm peridots in sterling silver. I ask at the hotel, no, nothing reported as found.
I walk back to my new hotel. On the way back, I go into a cafe for a coffee and croissant. I’m sitting by myself when another young woman walks in. She comes up and asks in French if she might sit at my table (cafe isnt even full ) in English I say “sorry I’m Australian I don’t speak French”. She laughs, she’s Australian too. Fancy that, we laugh some more.
She sits down orders coffee and starts chatting,
OMG she goes.
OMG OMG looking at me.
She says I checked into my hotel this morning and I found an earring on the carpet, it was so tiny. I went down to reception but no one was there so I was going to let them know when I get back. And OMG it must be your earring, you only have one in your ears and this is exactly the same.
Dead set, this was my missing tiny 4mm earring. This woman got my room, at the hotel and found the earring, wandered randomly around the city before choosing this cafe to have a coffee, choosing my table to sit at and then noticed my empty earlobe.
Over 35 years ago now. And I never wore them again, I just treasure them instead.

Wow!! What a story!

dkata, I hope you find your beloved pendant. As we see from the above story, it is possible! I hate lost stuff and I feel for you! Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm so sorry you lost your pendant. There's nothing worse than that feeling you get. I really hope it returns to you soon.

HI:

That sucks. Sending finding vibes your way.

cheers--Sharon

I'm so sorry! Just seems so unfair...well, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it shows up!

Edit...Bron, that is an unbelievable story! Makes you wonder what was going on in the universe that
day that you two came together and she had your earring! Unbelievable!

Wow!! There are no words. I got chills reading this. Have you ever seen the 1997 movie Deja Vu staring Victoria Foyt, Stephan Dillane? If not, you should watch it, although it's hard to find.

dkata - don't give up hope. Sometimes our lost treasures show up in the most unusual of places.

Did you take any pictures at the ball that might help you pinpoint when it came off?

I’m SO sorry. I can really feel your pain. I’m very attached and sentimental about my jewelry. Here’s an inventory of what’s been lost. It almost makes me feel ill:
1. Studs stolen during a move
2. Grandmothers gold charm bracelet fell off
3. WB disappeared
4. Tennis bracelet fell off
The studs and Tennis were covered by Chubb. The WB was more sentimental than expensive and DH had replaced it many times over with all the bands he’s bought me. Terrible guilt about the charm bracelet, but I’d worn it to ⛪ of all places!!!
I’m only detailing this to say I really understand how you’re feeling.

I am so sorry!! I had a pair of studs and lost one of the earrings from my ear a few years back . It was a 1.10 gorgeous diamond I had hand picked for the earring set.
I was devistated and looked everywhere. I hope whoever found it enjoyed it :(sad . I still worry wearing earrings now. I hope your pendant shows up soon!

Lots of good ideas, advice and great stories about things turning up.
I hope you find it.

@Bron357 , sounds like your Grandma stepped in to help.

Oh I'm so sorry. It's a terrible feeling to lose something, you can't help blaming yourself over and over. When I first started wearing jewelry I lost a couple of tennis bracelets. It was upsetting, but it made me much more cognizant and careful of my bling and I haven't lost anything in over 20 years. As I grew older I realized that that jewelry loss is far from the worst that can occur and I'm able to put things in perspective now. I hope you find your necklace.

Ladies, thank you to all of you, who were sending me good vibes!

Unfortunately it still hasn’t shown up, and I have really looked everywhere. On my way home after the ball I had to stop at a gas station to buy fuel, and maybe it fell from my neck there. I really don’t know.

@Bron357 this is an incredible story! Only life can write stories like that! Must have been an incredible feeling to get the earring back!

@motownmama, @tkyasx78 im so sorry for you! It such a miserable feeling to loose something precious! Unfortunately i had to get to know this feeling myself!

But I haven’t gave up hope,I still hope, I will find it!

Hugs to you!

So sorry Dkata. I hope it shows up.

Did you check odd places like toiletries bags, makeup bags, purse or small bags you had with where you might have just put it into without really thinking about it? Have you tried calling the hotel and ask to be put through specifically to the place you had breakfast (so ask for the manager of the restaurant or food section, not just the general hotel people) and ask if anyone may have found it at a table on the floor etc?

I'm so sorry for your lost ... I'm gonna pray for you Sweety.

.

@dkata, car seat ?

___

Just lost a ring, oddly ... I dreamt it was taken off my finger. Woke up ringless, as a dozen times before when the ring would slip off, except this time the ring was no more. I cannot replace this little strip of metal, any more than I can turn back time :errrr: @Bron357 , you wouldn't happen to pass by Andaluzia, by any chance ?

Thank you, but already checked.

What a story!
I had a mini of that happen last week.
My friend lost her car keys, so I went back in the restaurant to look under the tables.
I thought I saw them and asked the eldery man sitting at that table if he would please move so I could reach the keys.
Turned out it was not the keys I saw, but his beloved old watch that had fallen off his wrist and he had not noticed.
I handed him his watch,
Went back outside and it turned out my friend had left her keys in the ignition...and the car had been running the whole time we were eating lunch ! :confused2:

I pray the lost necklace comes back to you. It may be close by, just very well hidden.
