JA Platinum Solitaire Setting

Selling a barely used six prong platinum solitaire setting from James Allen. I had purchased a ring that arrived in June but with the wrong setting. We've used the current setting for five weeks now but finally found one we prefer. No scratches or other issues with it. There was previously a 1.6ct diamond in it (7.5mm) and its a size 6. Selling for $400 obo.

I bet it could. Most plain shank settings can go up or down two sizes.

I'm not 100% sure, but from what I've read only up to two sizes. It may be best to ask a local jeweler who would do it what is possible and show them the type of setting?

I am not sure reused settings work to be honest - i have a stone that I am trying to find a temp setting for...6.69 - 6.71 x 4.46 mm - I assume this would be too large?

In a setting like this, no problem to use again. Will require prong work, but that's normal.

Yes, I do think yours is not a great fit probably.

Can't Grace get a Stuller mount and set it? That wouldn't be too expensive.

That might not be a bad idea. I can ask her. Thanks for the idea - do you have any sense of roughly what they cost?
