Hi all,

I just purchased a pair of carved flower earrings from Wriston, but he also has another pair of higher grade cabochons that I think are fab as well.

Below are pictures of the flower earrings that I bought. According to Wriston, these are of normal icy jade grade, there are 2 or more grades in between (a "jelly" grade and a "high ice") before it hits glassy.

From existing threads on this forum I would say that these don't have much "water"? Is water a function of both transparency / clarity and glow (what causes that glow though?)

Below are the cabochons I'm interested in: These aren't considered glassy but I think he may have said "high ice". They seem to glow more which he said is the effect of closing the bottom of the cabochon, so not picture of what they would have looked like unset.

Do these have more water? I'm ambivalent about this design (was planning to look out for a larger set of cabochons to hang from this pair), and prefer the flower design, which is why I bought that, but the glow from this pair draws me back.

Also picked up a pendant that looks very LOTR lol. My noob eyes would think that this has more "water" than the carved flowers?

Final question: I keep seeing alot of references to stone lines, are these the same as fractures? There are small inclusions visible in the carved flowers, but those aren't the same as stone lines right?
