James Allen 6 Prong Setting Help

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have a 6 prong setting from JA that they like? I am purchasing my diamond through JA and taking advantage of their free setting... for now at least. I am realizing WF may have been a better vendor to go with vs JA.

I’m looking at the following:

I currently have #1 but they put the wrong prongs on— they are more ball like vs claw like— so returning.

I like #1 given I assume the quality is better based on the $600 price difference— and that it replicates Tiffany setting.

But I like the clean, straight lines of #2– and heard band is thinner which might look nicer.

Do you have an opinion or photos of one or the other? Preferably some side shots? Additionally, what’s your perspective on the donut on #1 vs flush band on #2 if pairing w a wedding band?

I would go with #2 with white gold choice (only $240) and spend money on diamond rather than setting. Setting will be worthless anyway...

Thanks- A JA setting is free with the purchase of my diamond. So just trying to figure out the best setting for a 3 ct diamond.

Get #1. I got my wife the #2 presentation setting. It was a big mistake. Look at the actual finished rings. You can call it clean, I say flimsy and toy-like. You cannot wear #2 with a wedding ring without a spacer. The melees on the wedding ring will rub against and wear out the prongs

Thank you!! Yeah I wasn’t sure if it was going to be too cheap, just like the simplicity—- but the price gap had me curious about the quality... and good to know re:spacer— so couldn’t even sit flush anyways it sounds like! Does your wife have prongs that look like balls on #1 or do you have a photo? JA said they put the wrong prongs on, but then looking on reviews— a lot of the prong work looks inconsistent across the board.

I think #1 is slightly wider than #2 but on the other hand, narrow ones make diamond look bigger.

Also, #2 is a volume saler so JA gives spacial price on 14k WG. If you look at other 14K choices for #2, you see big price difference (vs 14K WG), while 14K prices for #1 are all the same.
