So. After looking at another post on here I was curious about the Jann Paul Decagon. I finally found some videos he put up and it knocked my socks off. Almost has me rethinking the EC I am looking for. What are your thoughts? Also, on his pricing page he does carry EC's. Is he a good vendor to look at for EC's?? His price for a 1ct. D-G VVS1-VS2 is $8700. I don't know what that would equate to if he sourced a 3ct. for me, but it's obvious his sourcing is excellent.
 
I haven't seen his emerald cuts in person, but they look spectacular online. I think @lulu_ma has seen them. Hopefully she will weigh in.

@momofive I know EXACTLY how you feel!

I'm completely turning a corner on my search for a heart event milestone (that's how I refer to my heart attack last year which has spurred my diamond sleuthing) and emailed Jann Paul about a hour ago. The decagon next to the BGD signature really made me think ... granted, maybe the BGD needed a good cleaning ... but Jann Paul is now on my radar!
 
The Emerald 2.0 is on my wishlist for a future ring, but I haven't seen it in person . The videos look spectacular. I'm sure it works be even more stunning in person

I think you saw my video with the 2 rings . If so, both rings were clean. The decagon really is just stunning ! Ha ha
 
There aren't that many novelty cuts I'd consider and I'm not even in love with MRBs more generally, but the decagon is suuuper pretty looking from the videos I've seen.

I'm kicking myself that I didn't see any IRL while I was in Singapore...although I doubt they would've been too pleased by me coming anyways... i doubt setting up an appt for "conducting important research for my diamond forum friends" would've been too compelling :lol:

JP got back to me about the band, and I’m thrilled! Am asking a few questions, but a band with baby decagons sounds like it will be within my budget. I inquired about the wedding band below, not the ering band. The intention would be to wear this as my ring finger RHR, and my non-PS advised 2.15 cushion solitaire on my LH middle finger.

Since this is all about celebrating the gift of life, I think it will be a perfect match. A sizable statement stone on the left, and world class diminutive diamonds on the right.

That was very magical! Love the music when the ring was getting rhodium plated. The Decagon by JP looks lovely.
 
0515 vision- I am so happy for you. I had saved their spaced diamond band in my photos in case I decided to go with a single stone.
Philosopher stone. Yes. I watched that video yesterday and even rewound part of it. Amazing.
