I picked it up Christmas Eve, but the lighting has been terrible since...Rained all day yesterday, this morning fog, lol!

I did get a few photos while running errands today when it got a bit brighter out, and few from a restaurant we went to on Christmas Eve that had nice halogen lighting, I couldn''t stop looking at the ring while we were eating dinner!

I don''t know if you saw the photos of the stone that I took at the Jewelry store before it was set, but I only got a few and not very nice. The stone is gorgeous! It is purple in most indoor light, and blue out of doors. My camera must be color-correcting so I haven''t caught the purple color yet, but will keep trying.

The stone is a bit darker in the setting, or that could just be the dim lighting I''ve observed it with so far...I love it, love it, love it. The saturation is great, and it has just a few bubbles, which are invisible to the unaided eye. The stone is heated, but I do not care, as I got exactly the color and type of stone I wanted.

The photos today show a bit of oil and lint (aaak), unfortunately, I cleaned it before I left, but need to learn better how to get it really clean (I think some sort cleaner is in my future).

The first photo is from the restaurant, I think the heart-shaped light reflections were cool, and symbolic.

Hope you don''t mind a bunch of photos, bear with me!

This one shows some colored flashes in the stone.

Sorry about the oil and fibers, but the sun sent a beam in the window and the color is showing a bit better.

Here are a few of the stone sitting on top of the setting...wish I had taken a few more!

Beautiful -- the sapphire looks wonderful in your sparkly setting. Looking forward to some more photos with the sun shining!

Taken with the flash on...the bubble are visible in this photo due to the flash and the macro zoom on the camera...IRL the stone is about the size of a blueberry!

Love love those color shifters. Beautiful ring!!

Did I miss how large it is?

Jeff cut it to precisely (heh) what I needed, at 7.4mm, and it is 2.34 carats.

Very pretty ring and I love the different colors of your sapphire.

Gorgeous! I hope you can get some pics in the sun eventually, I''d love to see it.

It''s beautiful!

More pictures, please! I''m so jealous that you are able to capture all that fire from your diamonds. I can''t seem to do that with my camera.

Gorgeous sapphire ring. Love the colors of the sapphire.
