Jeff White Sapphire complete!

I honestly don''t think Jeff could have gotten this stone more spot on had I been sitting there next to during the process!

The blue is exactly the colour I asked for, with the violet undertones when not in sunlight (also requested).

I asked for an "elongated squatty cushion" - and love the design and shape.

The specs and ct weight even came out better than I was anticipating.

Specs:

Heated Ceylon blue sapphire, recut from "native" stone.
2.02 ct. Measures 6.4 x 7.3 mm. Clarity is excellent.
(I will post the original rough photo and specs later from home..)

It was such a fantastic email to wake up to today with those photos!

To answer the questions;
the sapphire is going into a plat and diamond anniversary/just because ring to be made by BGD.


I don't have any setting plans yet for either the tsav or zircon, but I was thinking a chunky yellow gold bezel (maybe hammered band?) for the zircon..


and icekid - not sure if it colour shifts per se; but I did specifically ask Jeff for a blue with some violet undertones, and it does turn that violet you see when indoors..Does that make it a colour shifter?
