Did anyone see Jessica on the View the other day???

I actually found myself annoyed. I used to LOVE watching The Newlyweds. Now, it seems she''s pimping everything under the sun...from her line of hair extensions...to plus size jeans....to a shoe line...and even a sunglasses line. Let''s not forget her Dessert Beauty line either. I''m getting Simpson overload! Enough already!!! Stop selling us stuff, please!!!!

It seems they are pushing everything they can possibly get under her brand name. It''s turning me off. Where will it end?! Opinions welcome.

honestly anything i have seen in her ''line'' to me is geared towards teenage girls or super early 20''s gals...low cost, low quality kind of stuff.

in this week''s us weekly it broke the story of her whole secret romance with john mayer...and how into each other they were and how they met 2 years ago when she was still married to nick and he was super jealous etc. well i read today on the superficial that john mayer and his camp was disgusted by the story and how it seemed she was ''desperate to stay in the limelight'' kinda thing and that he was not seeing her any longer and planned to stay away. and that their ''relationship'' was nothing big but the article made it sound huge.

honestly i loved her and nick together in the early days when they both seemed so genuine and in love, and now she just disgusts me. she''s all about the big blonde fake attitude and the money and the fame. to me her 15 minutes are well over. also i read that her album or her single or whatever is doing HORRIBLY. so it wouldn''t surprise me if she is desperate to stay on the cover of the gossip mags just to stay in front of people so they don''t forget her.

Yes - I should mention that on the View Rosie flat out asked her if she was dating John Mayer and she said that they have been quite good friends for a long time but have never dated and are not dating now.

I forgot about the album - I heard it isn''t doing well too. I was just struck by the way she was there MOSTLY to promote her products. Everyone is selling something...but when ohhh...the woman married to William H Macy...the one on Desperate Housewives...when she was on and was selling a baby nursing pillow she didn''t blurt out about it every 5 seconds and only replied when asked about it. Jessica awkwardly would keep mentioning her shoes and sunglasses and it was very transparent.

Too bad. I do miss the old Jess and Nick from the very beginning.

couldnt agree more. she is now just a walking billboard. she has become as fake as the hair extension she sells. Its really sad, because at one time she was so innocent and likeable....

anyone knows what happened to the lawsuit that said she wasnt promoting her jeans? is that why she is now so verbally promoting all the crap with her name on it?

I am not usually a fan of celeb products. I do no want to smell like Celine Dion or wear Jessica Simpson''s boots. That is just me, though. There are lots of other people who clearly feel differently, since the stuff sells. Sean Combs and Jennifer Lopez have certainly done well with the multi modal approach, but I would not specifically buy something because a celeb created it, probably more the opposite...it would have to be an amazing product for me to buy it in spite of the celeb association. I mean, what makes her an expert on hair extensions just because she wears them herself???

Jessica Simpson not promoting plus size jeans? How can she promote something that she''ll never wear? I don''t get it.

There are plenty of beautiful plus size actresses they could have used. Why hire someone who wears a size 2?

I think it''s pretty amazing how celebrity changes a person and unfortunately for the Simpsons, seems like lil sis Ashley is going down the same path as her big sis. I can''t beleive all of the plastic surgery she''s had to make her look like her sister! I thought she was finally out from her shadow, LOL, now she looks just like her!

I am NOT a fan and I am relieved to hear that she and John Mayer are NOT dating!!! I really like him and think he could do much better. I never watched the show with her and Nick, but she is certainly a nightmare now.

PC, they were actually HER line of jeans...with HER name on the back pockets!!! So even though she wouldn''t wear them, she clearly thought them worthy enough to market a line of them with her name on them!!!! She wasn''t just a spokesperson.

I watched the view the other day too. I was surprised at all the plugging as well. I also read that the song "i belong to me" was originally left off the album b/c she didn''t like it. they used it as a bonus track for wal-mart. that song is the most popular with fans after the title track that she had to add it in hopes of boosting sales. Funny how she still needs nick (even it''s a song about getting over him) to make it. I miss them as a couple and their charm was them "together."

Does anyone else think her song sounds just like Madonna''s Holiday? I thought that myself, and later on, I heard my local radio station saying that they thought so too and played some clips back to back... uncanny the "resemblence." I saw Jessica''s boots the other day and they looked so tacky and cheap, like something you would expect at payless or walmart.

EW. I''m so over Jessica. I really liked her also in the early days of Newlyweds, when her ditziness was somewhat endearing. However, with the divorce, her big ego, her freaky dad, and everything else...all I can say is EW. She has to understand that a lot of her appeal came from the fact that she was married to Nick, cuz they were this cute teeny-bop couple. And now that she''s single, no one really cares.

I read somewhere that her album is not doing well...only sold 95,000 copies the first week. Nick''s sold 172,000 or something like that. Poor, poor Jessica. She''s probably trying to sell everything under the sun now because she understands that she is literally a flash in the pan and she''d better make as much money as possible while she''s still somewhat marketable.
