Do any of the PS recommended vendors sell on Amazon? I have this gift card that I can’t sell because none of the normal exchange websites take amazon. I don’t purchase much on Amazon other than actual books. Normally I cash in my gift cards on exchange sites for cash and buy on Etsy. But I can’t get rid of it, no site will accept an amazon. Was wanting a pair of stud earrings in maybe peridot or citrine but didn’t know ifthere were any reputable sellers there. If this post is not allowed I apologize, and please feel free to take it down, I wasn’t sure if this question was ok. They have studs there, but I have no idea who is a reputable seller there.

My other idea was an inexpensive loose stone, and set it later on, but, again i see stones on there but dont know what is good to buy from.

Berricle is a popular brand that makes sterling jewellery with crystal or cz, well priced on amazon, that would be an option. If you see a Setting style you like on their main berricle website, check it out on on amazon for purchase.

You can easily replace the berricle stone with a real stone of your choice, as the descriptions offer stone measurements in addition to generalised carat weight equivalents.

Thanks.

What about for natural gems? I have looked at some peridot studs there and they have good selection but things seem either WAY overpriced or too cheap making me wonder about the quality.

I think JTV has a section on Amazon. I came across it when I was in a similar situation, and they did have natural stones.

Thank you!! That is the kimd of thing I am looking for. Are they reputable in terms of, selling what they say it is? I notice a lot of the gemstones are dyed but, they do have some selection of natural or heat only. They have some pretty tanzanite studs!

So it looks like JTV is a risky proposition after doing some searches here. Is there anything wrong with their black spinel, chrome diopside, or tanzanite? Those are either (supposedly) heat only or non treated. IS it possible to make an educated purchase from them, or is everything poor quality?

Or alternately, other gem sellers on amazon? I checked out the 'handmade' but wasn't overly impressed.

Aurelia Gems/Prima has a few things on Amazon.

I have a pair of earrings from them. They are set in 10 karat and chrome diopside. I think they are fine for what they are. You aren't going to get fine quality stuff from them. It's going to be more along the lines of what you'd get at a mall store, but for a better price.

Depending on the amount of your gift card, you might just want to consider using it for household stuff. Like cleaning products, pet food, whatever and use other money for earrings.

@elizat Can I see a pic of your earrings?

I was hoping to find some simple studs or drop earrings. But after reviews here am quite wary. But I am starting to think I will probably use it for other things and just get earrings with other funds, or stick with something like the sterling hoops.

Yeah...their stuff is basic quality, but I don't think it's misrepresented either. I ended up getting a gold chain from there and a ring to pull the CZ out of to get one of my colored stones into something temporarily. The gold was real and the ring is put together well, and hasn't lost any of the tiny CZs yet. I'm sorry I can't really speak to the quality of the natural stones, but it is an option on Amazon vs a random third party seller. After your first message, I played around on Amazon for a few and had not realized how difficult to navigate their site is if you are just browsing around. Good luck!

Thanks Miss Sarah!

Yes I agree. It’s a pain.

I may get the tanzanite studs or diopside drops. The stones are described as natural. However you can’t see what you are really buying, so I will probably use the money for other things.
