I hope I can post this here. Am wondering if people with these lovely collections could post images of how they store their treasures (jewel boxes, armoires) and if still available where they came from and why they like what they like.

I am bouncing between a house and an apartment and would like to get some pretty storage for the house and more practical travel storage because my stuff always end up a jumbled mess from travel. Or do you all just have safes? If you have a home safe, is there a good place to get one? I have a few fairly valuable rings but like to have options.
Or do you just insure everything?

Following this! Curious about this too.

Would love picture of boxes.

@Bravissimo regarding home safes - my strong opinion is that an insufficient safe is worse than no safe at all. Your safe is automatically the number one target, so it must resist penetration until the police are notified and come to your house. That means it needs to be
A) Impossible to remove from your home (heavy, unweildy, bolted to concrete, ideally all three),
B) Very difficult to break into inside your house using tools from your house/garage/shed/lawn,
C) Coupled with some way to actually notify authorities that you've had a break-in (ie. Home alarm).

When I personally was looking for safes I limited my search to TL-15 or better (safe rating) and over 5000lb (higher payload than non-commercial trucks can handle; our neighbours would question a mack or giant u-haul in the driveway without us home!)

Thanks! Ugh! We have a security system. Don’t know if that’s worth it for us.

I keep my items in my husbands gun safe. I think it's something like 1300lbs and considering where it is, it would be nearly impossible to remove it before the police arrives.
We have a security system (Frontpoint) and cameras everywhere.

I have super simple silver jewelry. I got the stackers system from The Container Store and it is perfect for my minimalist style!78FB256B-66E9-4D3D-B4E6-0D5DBE000F15.jpeg

Necklaces that I wear more often (which isn't really often in these pandemic times) I keep handy with these 3M Command holders, like in the photo here on this blog I like interesting geometric shapes in my necklaces so I think that the display looks a little like art. The rest of it is in a roll in one of those unwieldy and secured safes, buried under all the paper that my husband thinks is important. I am sort of daydreaming about upgrading to a Wolf jewelry portfolio for my next birthday.

Thank you! This is a great example. I will go look at this system next weekend!

This is so cool! I didn’t even know command made such a thing!!! I love this idea. When I started this request I wasn’t even talking about costume jewelry but it is a big part of my messiness. Fake pearls living jumbled in a drawer. I ❤️ The idea of them on display as wall art when they aren’t being worn.

Never thought of that. In DC a lot of offices have safes. I wouldn’t want to move them. They are stinking huge.
