Jewelry...The Body Transformed

Yesterday I saw the Jewelry exhibit at the Met. The Body Transformed. It was stunning. Sharing the fabulous pieces with those of you who don’t have the opportunity to go and see them in person. If you can go it’s worth it and as an added bonus the Delacroix exhibit is right next to the jewelry exhibit. Talk about convenience.


Without further ado may I present “The Body Transformed”

Posting from iPad because I have lots of photos to share. Fingers crossed this works ok. Even with the larger iPad I’m having trouble seeing the details well. Also it was dark in the exhibit and we couldn’t use flash photography so I did the best I could. Apologies for any blurry pics.

If anyone is interested in the photos I took of the Delacroix exhibit I am happy to share those too. I did not take very many as my phone was almost dead at that point lol but I did take some photos. It was also a gorgeous exhibit. I prefer his later work to his earlier work but still all of it masterpieces IMO.

Hahaha yes but looking at these in person I can safely say there is no way I could wear those comfortably. But they sure are beautiful and with the toe stalls one doesn't even need a pedicure.

Looked at everything in amazement with my morning latte!
& hmmmm.... Jewelry was our first form of art ey?
That gives me another piece of info to put in my bag and use when I need some bargaining tactics with my partner.

Haha me too. I love museums and art and all that jazz. Just my speed. In fact if truth be told I actually preferred taking photos at the JAR exhibit at the Met a few years ago. Because I had to do it secretly and it was a thrill. This was almost too easy. Lol I loved the forbidden aspect. Good thing I wasn’t with Adam in the garden of eden. Oh wait we know how that turned out and well it would not have had a better ending if I were eve in that scenario but I digress.
