What a tragic way to lose a loved one.

How incredibly sad. I can''t imagine how they are feeling right now.

So very sad...

Oh, that is so very sad. It sounds like a very odd accident, though.

They are now saying he had a seizure. I wonder if this really is a freak incident or if it''s related to his medical conditions that the Travoltas (being scientologists) refuse to acknowledge...

Regardless it is so sad when a child dies.

I know-so sad. Apparently the Travoltas'' lawyer released more information, and he actually died from a seizure. The statement said that hitting his head caused him to have a seizure, which is what caused his death.

I thought the same thing, neat. No matter what, it's horrible, but I hate to think of him not getting the correct medical care. I know it's just speculation, but still.

My heart is breaking for them how tragic. I can''t imagine their pain. Sending prayers their way...

Oh wow.

Right now there is a lot of information bouncing back and forth about Jett''s Kawasaki syndrom...which is what the Travolta''s do admit to (not autism). Both disorders are linked to seizures. Such a sad, sad, sad case when a child''s like is taken well before his time.

My thoughts and prayers are with them.

This is so sad. I heard he was ill and was alone and fell. No matter what it is a terrible tragedy for them. This is the type of random freak accident that scares me when I leave my teen aged kids alone for a bit of time. What a terrible way to start the new year, and I pray for them.

This is so sad. I''m sorry for the family that their grief has a good chance of being overshadowed by their beliefs and the possibility that their choices in regards to what they''ve shared with the public will be hotter news, but at the same time, those were their choices...

Not that it matters, but I doubt Kawasaki syndrome caused it. While it could, I suppose, cause neurological damage to the point of causing seizures, it tends to affect children under 5 mostly, and once it is diagnosed it is typically resolved with treatment at that time. Of course if it is not diagnosed, as it is a rare syndrome, there can be long term damage, but it primarly affects the heart long term. Bottom line, whether or not Jett was on the austism spectrum, which is highly likely, or was not, this is a terrible tragedy. I have a friend who''s son has epilepsy and this made me think of him, even though he is on medication to control his seizures, it is still a scary thing. Anyone could get disoriented, dizzy, or have a seizure and fall down. I feel terribly for them.
