Juicy Velour at ShopBop

I''ve been watching it for the last few weeks, noticed tonite that they finally put the velour on sale. Lots of colors and sizes left!!!

Damn I am so bummed! I was rushing to order some stuff tonite before Greg and I played Scrabble and I didn't notice that the black velour snap pants were still regular price until AFTER I placed the order. Their confirmation says no changes or cancellations once the order has been placed, I have to PAY to return ship them after I receive them! Is that insane or what?

So I went back through the checkout process and found that on the last page before you hit finalize order, it does not say a thing about that policy! It's not until you place the order and get the confirmation email that it says anything about 'oh by the way no changes allowed'. How ridiculous!

So I wrote them saying I did not want those pants and that if they could modify the order OR send me a paid shipping envelope I would appreciate it. Will they? Who knows...I have never had to deal with their customer service for returns before. I'm just SO bummed. Sure it's not a huge deal to pay the $5 or whatever to return them priority mail with insurance but I am already paying for them, paying to ship them to me (like an extra $2 on my order or so) and then the $5 to return them. Just what a pain!!!!

Coming from the eCommerce world it is absolutely insane that they would not be able to CANCEL an order. Neither of the last two online stores I managed would have EVER thought of doing that to a consumer. What if something happened and I really had to cancel it? What if it was a total mistake? Short of cancelling my CC...they would probably still charge it!

Anyway I adore ShopBop for the most part and have never had a problem before, but I am really irate about this and super disappointed. In myself for not noticing that the pants were full price (they had a tiny note up top in the description and it went to the bottom of the shopping cart and I was rushing so I just didnt see it)...but above and beyond that, irritated at their non-customer-friendly policy and the fact that it was not on the last checkout page before finalizing the order. Total bait and switch!!!

So we'll see what they say, unfortunately I would not be shocked if they said 'sorry you're SOL' but I'm hoping that my email to them shows that I was unaware of this and that they will take pity on me and remove it from my order before shipping. I have found that other online stores like this cannot make CHANGES to an order after you place it (aka Banana and JCrew are two), so they typically have to cancel and redo it, but not to be able to cancel it? That's just insane!!

In any case I did get the Puff Puff track jacket and snap pants set and the evil black snap pants which ended up not being on sale. BOO.

I bought the puff puff hoodie set, but I bought it when they had the last velour sale, I think it was 20% or something.

Well, thanks to you, I picked up a hoodie set in whisper. I was really tempted to get the black velour pants with the rhinestone heart, but changed my mind on it.
I still want to get a light pink terry set and a white terry set for the spring/summer.

You are the biggest enabler of them all! My fi keeps noticing all these girls in velour track suits & I never fell into the trend. Well, I did it today!!! I ordered the velour pants and hoodie in Louis V. I hope they live up to my expectations with all the raves around here!

I got a note from ShopBop saying they were sorry for the confusion, and would remove the black pants from my order but then I got a shipping confirmation that had them on there, so who knows! We''ll see!!

That''s good to hear they are being accomodating about your order. Hopefully everything''ll end up working out. I finagled my parents last night into giving me my newly purchased juicy track suit as a b-day present! I hope they don''t make me wait till the 22nd to wear it though!!! My fi was happy, he looked at me funny when I told him how much it cost and that I was buying a b-day present for myself

Oh no. Shopping is a real sickness. When I ordered my juicy suit from Shopbop, I ordered both pieces in an XL. I was afraid that the pants would be too tight & I know I''d prefer the jacket with a looser fit. Well, I kept thinking about it and I''m pretty sure the XL pants will be tooooooo big.

, and they are definitely sold out of pants at this point, so I went shopping around on the internet. Lo & Behold, Nordstrom''s is also having a sale on Juicy! So I ordered a large pants & XL top in Mother Nature from there. I guess we''ll see what happens when they arrive!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH Nordstrom''s?!? I will have to check that out!!!

I am a Large in Juicy for top and bottom, but lately my pants have been fitting me a little loose when I get them, I mean I can still wear them due to the fit being so casual, but there''s a little extra material, so I wonder if I am in a Medium now. But I don''t mind the loose fit, so I figure who cares. Plus I wash them and dry them so over time they do shrink up a little. I''d rather not try a Medium then have it not fit, and be SOL re: sizing when I try to return it. The jackets however are still tight on me for a Large...damn these boobies!!

Let me know how you like the Louis V...I was tempted...but I already got Mother Nature this year and I thought they may be too similar in color? The LV seems like a very rich brown though so maybe not. I got Puff Puff which appears to be a medium gray or so. There weren''t too many ''sets'' in terms of colors when I looked last week!

It was slim pickins over at Nordstrom but I am so happy because I found the Pomegranate Snap pants in Large, which SB has been sold out of since like Dec! I got the top back then but not the pants. Now I have a set and the prices are even cheaper right now than SB! The pants were only $55. And I got a Bali Blue hoodie for $44!!

Wow...I should have checked them out originally, I could have gotten the Puff Puff set for cheaper I think back then but now the sizes seem to be kind of hit or miss. Oh well, either way it''s a savings, and on one hand I felt silly knowing it''s going to be sunny and warm out and I''m ordering velour from the winter collection, BUT I wear them every winter so if I buy them now then I won''t have to next winter and that''s a good thing!!

They didn''t have the Louis V color at Nordstrom, so I picked out the Mother Nature as a substitute. The whole thing only cost me (with shipping) $90! Since I''ve convinced my parents to give the original suit to me for my b-day, if I really like both, maybe I will keep both

OMG Kayla I got my Puff Puff set today and LOVE IT LOVE LOVE IT!! The color is just divine with my skin tone!!

In the light it looks almost like it has a touch of sage green to it, even though it''s gray. Sooo pretty. Very flattering.

I went to pick up my lunch salad from this neighborhood cafe up the street, and the girl who owns it who always wears Juicy was like oh what color is that, it looks great and then we had a 10 min convo on where to get the best Juicy deals, ahhahaa. Gotta love it.

SO happy I took a chance on this color, it''s so hard to see the colors on the monitor sometimes!!

Yes,I love the color too. I have not worn it yet though! I had the pants hemmed and then forgot I had them at the cleaners!
I got the whisper set, but I am not sure if I will keep them. I already have a two pairs that are pink, but not a velour set. I really like the color ziggy but since they are sold out, I ordered them from ebay. I pray they are real and they are the right color. Who knows what I will get!

hey so in the light yesterday on the way home kayla, it dawned on me that puff puff seems to be a super darkish gray green. check yours out in the light and let me know. whatever it is i love it, but it''s such a chameleon color.

i''m still waiting for a pomegranate pair of snap pants and a bali blue hoodie to come from nordstrom and then that is all she wrote for juicy velour for this season!!!

i did see an awesome color of green in terry at bloomies the other day but first i have to let my wallet recover!

My set from Shopbop is scheduled to arrive today!!!!! I can''t wait, I am tempted to go home and see if it''s arrived already (that is pathetic).

they take forever danielle! totally not something i have been impressed with in the past. i havent'' gotten a shipping confirmation either...

last time i ordered something it literally took 10 working days to arrive to me. but i wasn''t in a hurry, and i''m not in one now but hello, 10 working days? 2 working weeks. step it up nordstrom!

i used to work in marketing/ecommerce so one of my biggest pet peeves is horrible customer service or slow shipping or general ecomm store mishaps. it''s not that hard to be great at what you do and alot of ecomm stores are still figuring it out even though they have been at it for years.

How weird is this?

I rushed home today to check for packages & I saw a brown box on the front steps. I picked it up & the return label is from Nordstrom''s! Nothing from UPS, so I can''t do a side by side comparison just yet.

I am in love!

. You all are going to make me poor! The large pants are perfect - if I lose weight, they would probably be too big. But right now - they are absolutely, positively perfect! The XL jacket fits comfortably, but jeez, those sure run small huh??

I like the mother nature color. It''s darker than I thought it was going to be, but still yummy!

I am a little sad cause I have a feeling the Louis V pants from Shop Bop are going to be too big and they definitely don''t have any left at this point. But I don''t think I really need 2 brown sets - so maybe this is an excuse to get a different color!

Of course it''s 70 degrees today in NJ. The weather is just not cooperating with my wardrobe.

Thanks a lot guys - I can see myself collecting way too many of these.

The UPS man just came by!

Ok, so I''m definitely much happier with the Mother Nature color as opposed to the Louis V. The Louis V is very red/purply brown, where as mother nature is more of a pure brown. I''m trying to attach a side by side comparison & the Louis V photographs even more red than in person! I can''t get the pic to work right now, but I''ll try again later.

The XL pants are definitely way too big. So I will be sending the whole thing back to Shopbop. Oh well, at least I have my cheaper, better for me color suit from Nordstom!

I think I will want a terry suit for the summer - hmmmm, what color should I get?

hehe you lucky girl danielle, two packages in one day! i''m still waiting for my nordstrom but that''s okay..hopefully it''s not too far behind yours.

i do love the MN color as well, it''s a such a dark warm brown. LV tempted me but i wasn''t sure, i got pomegranate this year which i love and i get complements on the color, it is like a very dark pomegranate seed color, very rich with a touch of burgundy. it looks good with my skin tone too.

the juicy colors can be hit or miss, there are SO many and the online pictures don''t do any of them real justice! and then nordstroms locally just carries about 5 or 6 colors the whole season when in reality there are about 15 or so, online is so the way to go for me. and sales are even better!!

i saw a terry dark sage green i loved, i forget what it was called now though but it had a funky name. i saw it at bloomies!

Well, I got the ebay ziggy pair and they are fake! I could tell right off the bat as the stitching, label and even the zipper is completely different.
I emailed the seller and told them that I believed the set to be fake and I would like to return for a full refund. They emailed me back that they would refund me the final bid price only, but not the shipping fees.
I guess that will have to do.

I am also undecided if I should just keep the Whisper set from shopbop. They fit fine, but I am not completely in love with the color. I checked the website and the only hoodies are in two colors in medium, so I can''t even exchange them for another pink.

I guess I should just keep them? I don''t have a pink velour set.

did you check Nordie''s Kayla? They had a great sale last week, better than SB pricing but who knows what their inventory is like now.

I have a few pink items, they are not my favorite for my skin tone...

I wouldn''t keep the Whisper unless you really wanted to, what about selling it on eBay? Maybe wait a week or two so so that inventory is all gone at the other retailers then put them up for a small profit?

eBay is horrible with fakes, I basically made a pact with myself not to buy Juicy on eBay anymore as it''s too hard to tell the real from fake til you get the actual set!!!

Ok, so now i think i need a velour track suit. Nordstrom has the eggplant colored pants at half off! I should go try them on first. I am so short, they probably wont work. I should probably just get the cropped ones, too bad petites are a size 0....someday.
