Julia B Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring

1.17 ct blue untreated Ceylon Sapphire per Julia 6.3 mm. Set with .24 ct G/H vs2 diamonds

The color is beautiful and shifts between a brighter blue to a softer grey depending on lighting

Size 7 ( a “ roomy” 7 may be slightly over)

I bought this preloved. This was a custom order by previous owner

Note: when I purchased this ring, it was designed with “shoulders” where the diamonds ended and the edges of those bothered my fingers. The shank was also a little on the lighter side, weight wise. I had my jeweler rebuild the shank, so the edges are smoothed out, the ring is more round with no angled edges and the shank is more solid and substantial now ( see link for pics)

The whole ring could use a good polishing especially the bottom of the shank where it looks “smudged” a bit after my jeweler worked on it

Original price: $1200 ( several years ago)
I paid $695 plus $160 to rebuild 3/4 new shank and sized down

As soon as I put it on shin I thought “ oh no! What are you doing! We love this!” Lol. But I bought it to use as an ER and I have since bought something else and I don’t like this as a rhr. If it doesn’t sell I’m putting it into a halo and will use as a rhr then I just don’t feel like throwing more money at it at this point ( and then I’d end up with another empty setting!)
