So FH and I are sitting down to eat dinner (not to toot my own horn, but I made quite a good one, I must say

) and we''re doing out small talk and then bam!

"You know, I''m saving up for the storm. I can feel it coming, I''m bracing myself"
So I giggle and take a bite before retorting...

"So this storm... is it far off? Should I brace myself too?"

He didn''t answer me.


MAYBE?! maybe maybe maybe... ? Oh, all hoping is just taking it''s toll, man.

At least I feel like I''m telling people who can relate and won''t tell me to just shut up already.

i sorta feel like "im in the calm before the storm" period

everything pretty much set...its all up to him now

but while im waiting i got school to focus on so it takes a bit of the "ugh i hating waiting...why not me...its been so long" feeings...

i know that the waits gonna be worth it....i hear it always is...


im so crossing my fingers for you....cause that sounds like its gonna happen soon!!! yay for nebe!!!

It sounds like you might be reading the wrong things into ''saving for a storm''. That''s not how people usually talk about marriage is it? At least, I''m not sure I''d want to marry someone who thought of it that way! Try to psych yourself down. That way, if he IS trying to throw you off, you''ll be that much more excited, and if he isn''t, you won''t be so disappointed.

11 months, actually. I''m not vamping myself up for it, as I know I probably have a while to wait. It does mean he''s saving though, which is always a good thing.

The storm thing was a joke, not a reflection on our relationship. I don''t want it to be misconstrued as negative; it''s not.

I''m fine with waiting. It''d be great not to, however.
