Just booked the July Reno "Reception" Site!

We're getting married officially at The Bellagio in . . . 5 weeks and 6 days . . . EEEK! March 9th is the actual date, and we've opted to keep it very small and basically parents, grandparents, and a few very close friends. We'll be having a small reception at a family friend's house, and it won't be anything fancy - just a place to have dinner and celebrate with abandon.

So, my parents are amazing, and planning a larger, second reception for Weston and I, in which my whole family can attend. It's scheduled for July 9th, possibly July 8th in Reno, NV - just on the other side of Tahoe. My parents have seen it and are absolutely floored, and they said we would be equally as impressed when we saw it!

It's called the Tannenbaum, and I thought I'd share some pics with you ladies. I really can't wait for July now!

My parents moved from Las Vegas to Reno this past August . . . so the need for 2 reception sites probably wouldn''t have been needed had our wedding happened last year.

We''re considering moving to Reno, just because the area is so beautiful, and the proximity to Tahoe is enviable.

What a stunning view for mock-e-mony! It''s wonderful! I love the lodgy, mountain feel of the space.

Lucky girl--I would love to go live in a small city close to the mountains, peace and quiet, skiing, mild climate, family near by...sounds awesome!

Hehe, thanks so much for summing up how I''m feeling so completely succinctly, Elle! I''m at risk of sounding like TomKat, but this whole quick experience has been just amazing!

I''m a total picwhore, so luckily I have a week in between the Bellagio wedding and Nevis trip, and then 4 months between the honeymoon and July reception. I will be posting a TON of pics, so prepare yourselves!

So, we''ve opted to just have a party/reception, and not have a mini-wedding. I think I read somewhere it''s not proper etiquette, and to be honest, I''ll probably have more fun if I don''t have to worry about another ceremony. But I sure will be happy to have a first dance and all of the other reception-ey things.
