Just got my Asscher (square emerald) engagement ring today!

We have been engaged since Thanksgiving (Canadian) but it took a bit to find the ring we both wanted!

I love it. It is very classy. Asschers look great in simple and elegant settings. It is the perfect size too. I love diamonds between .50 and .75 carats. You know everyone is going to beg you for hand pics

It looks amazing! What a pretty, pretty stone, and the setting sets it off so well. Have you been able to notice the faint fluorescence yet? (I love fluorescence!)

I have not noticed the fluorescence at all. I did put the ring under a black light for fun and it turned up a bit blue-ish white.
I doubt I will be able to tell.
As for the setting, I am not sure what it is called. Some type of basket setting maybe?? My fiance picked it out at some place in Ottawa, ON.
I will try to get some more side shots for you!
