Just purchased a diamond! Do you think it’s too blue?

Hi all!

Just purchased a diamond and overall I love it very much! I took some pics/videos of the diamond outside. Could you guys let me know if the diamond’s color is okay in the sunlight? Is it emitting blue possibly from fluorescence? This is H color diamond with a medium fluorescence (not high). I also added a pic of it indoors.

Thanks!

Not to my eyes - maybe reflecting some blue sky

You are getting sky reflection outside - look at the difference in color in the inside pic!

Can you post a copy of the report (GIA)? Or...a link to it?

Edit...it certainly doesn't look blue on your hand. Is that an indoor pic?

ahhh ok, thanks guys!! Whew! Really want to share my appreciation for this forum. Picking a diamond is so hard, but you guys are so helpful!

I struggled with this too. My original 1.40 carat didn't reflect as much color from surrounding areas, obviously for its smaller size than my now 3 carat, but also because I think it swayed more to the side of brilliance than fire.

I know my diamond isn't blue/grey, but I'm certainly used to a much whiter appearance, not just inside. The fire now in my 3 carat is unbeatable, I actually cannot even believe it, but I do wish it didn't pick up surrounding colors and just stayed white all the time lol. I know, that's ridiculous haha.
