Just wanted to share my new e-ring pics!!!

I have been a lurker here for awhile while we were researching the type of engagement ring to get. There are no amount of words that I could type that would show my appreciation to everyone on these forums who take the time to answer questions and provide education to those of us who are fairly Jewelery dumb...that being said, I am so excited to share my beautiful engagement ring. I am hoping the pictures load ok as I am doing everything from my phone and I will take better pictures this weekend but it gives everyone an idea of how beautiful it is. The stats: 3.8 ct Ceylon Sapphire in a custom halo setting. (I have a size 8 finger by the way).

Our wonderful jeweler designed the ring. There was a Natalie K ring I had seen with a similar setting but it had a canary diamond and therefore was two toned and I only saw the design of the ring. But he has known me for a very long time and promised me he would make me something beautiful....he definitely did!!

I've got to say I've your comment "jewellery dumb" that did make me chuckle!

Can I echo what others have said and say that I love the inside of your ring - and I'd love to know whether you've designed it yourself. The art deco sides with the round diamonds is also very pretty and unusual with a halo. I like the way they work together. Enjoy wearing it but If you're driving, eyes on the road please, not your ring!

Thanks everybody for the comments. I can say that my ring turned out better than I could have imagined. My fiancée and I picked the stone out together and then researched different settings to accommodate the stone that I fell in love with. From there it was up to him. He and our Jeweler (I am not sure if I'm allowed to put his name and don't want to break any rules but if you all would like his name and someone keys me know its ok, I would love to let everyone know who designed it!!). So I wish I could say that yes I am so talented and thought up this setting all by myself however, I am not creative in any way and can't even draw a stick figure without messing it up, but was the handiwork of a very talented many whom I have known for many years and trusted him when he said he would make me something beautiful!
