Just had to share this little story with you girls. My SO is just so sweet sometimes.
Update - the ring is almost ready to ship, going to be put into our safe until he pops the question (torture!!!)
So, yesterday my crappy old car blew up and we need to get a new one. Just when I have spent all the $$$ on a ering! I feel so selfish, as we went over our budget by nearly $1000 (which he was totally comfortable with). I keep thinking that I could have a car with that money, and I feel really bad that my baby is doing on-call work to get overtime when I have had my heart set on the perfect ering.
Anyway, when I got home last night I burst into tears at the prospect of buying another car. Don''t get me wrong, we can totally afford it, but I guess I have the guilts at spending a lot of money on me. It''s not something I do often, and I am never really comfortable about it. So, I was bawling that we could have a car much easier if I hadn''t of wanted the ring and the bad devil was getting me back for wanting something so , I don''t know, shallow (for want of a better word). He just grabbed my face, looked into my eyes and told me that I was being silly, it had nothing to do with the ring, and that I totally deserve my ring and every cent we spent on it. He said actually you deserve a D IF diamond baby - how sweet, he has even learn something from PS. ( I mean, he already bought me a D VS2 ACA!) He made it clear that he is happy to do overtime as long as I am not miserable about the ring and the money. I have always known he is an incredible guy, but sometimes he just takes me by suprise at how sweet and thoughtful he really is.
Just had to share with you ladies!! The ring should be here next week, so hopefully I won''t have to wait too long. I really hope he isn''t waiting for our 12 year anni in July - I will DIE!!!!
