just when things are going great...need some encouragement

so we found our stone woohoo for that...well the exitement only lasted a day or so(no a week but it felt like a day) why well everything went down hill once he paid for it!!! not with the stone but in general EVERYTING WENT DOWNHILL

first of all...just last thursday i realized i had 3 papers and 2 exams this week!!!! arg professsors do not kno whow to give you a break! so now im all stressed out and worried like i was last semester....no fun at all

secondly....well last year i severly hurt my ankle and it finally began to feel better again adn it was almost all healed(i didnt got to the docotor cause my dad took care of the pain when the accident first happend) well acsue im such a genius once again i forget how many stairs there are in our apartment and once again like last year i skiped 3 stairs and BAM goes my ankle...feels great to be back in my brace...why does this suck...well...

#3 BEST REASON THINGS NOW SUCK...cause of my freakin ankle ( i know it wont fully heal by saturday) saturday is the day we agreed to go get my setting or at least pick it out!! i should be happy and i am but it sucks we have to walk around the diamond district all slow cause of my ankle!

and to top it off...the cherry on top of the freakin sunday! my boyfriends CAR WAS STOLEN 2 NIGHTS AGO!!!! his work car, not his nice car but his work car....who steals a civic? can someone explain this to me?? so since they stole it all my BF''s firends nad himself included have been "staking out" on top of his roof in 40 degree weather and in their cars waiting for the theives to come back....i know geniuses...oh and whats even better is that now they and the cops have been talking on a daily basis trying to find ways to catch those theives....

OMG its only monday and this is how my week starts....ssorry i had to vent...all my firends are too busy staking out...

Sorry your week sucks just think it could be worse on the upside it is the start of the week so it can only get better I am an eternal optimist if you can't already tell

I'm not sure that really sucks really depends on perspective if you walk all slow you can have more time to admire all the pretties you will see

Well... On the bright side at least it was his work car and not the nice one.

I''m not sure if this will exactly answer your question of "Who steals a Civic?" and it may depend on where you live but I recently bought a Honda Accord and it''s the top rated most stolen vehicle (Yay for me!) and Hondas are pretty popular so that''s probably why they stole it. Good luck... hope they are able to find out who took it!

Yeah, I was going to say that the Civic is always in the top ten "most stolen cars list" put out by the NICB. It sucks that it was stolen though; at least it was a work car and not your personal vehicle.

Sounds like a stressful time for you. When will you be out of school? At least there''s a nice winter break to look forward to. Hope your ankle feels better soon!

im almost out i have the rest of this semester next spring next summer (becasue i want to, not cause i have too) and then fall semester of ''08 and spring semester of ''09 and im OUT!

but till then my head is in the books...at least i try to be studious

...not so easy at times

i knew it was easy to steal but i NEVER thought his would get stolen...it wasnt even a new one it was like a ''96...but all the guys are hoping its gonna show up...which i dont understand what they would then do with the car if it does turn up...there is no way i would be ok with him buying yet another motor plus the new VW golf that he wants....

oh well maybe today will be a better day!

and yes i am s till looking forward to saturday becasue amongst all the stuff thats been happening on the bad side he said that saturday is about us...and that ring....and that WE WILL FIND IT AND WILL NOT LEAVE UNTIL WE DO...im very indecisive so we have to find a ring soon....maybe casue hes proposing soon, wouldnt that be nice...

well what he doesnt know is that i have a little someting up my selve too....hes been wating the PS3 in the 60 GB but i since it came out and i have been holding out on him...im picking up the 80GB instead saturday morning before we go and i was gopnna wait a while to give it too him but becasue of everything hes been going through im going to give it to him early! that cheers me up a bit!

Aw, it''s not that bad! If I learned anything at University, which for 150k I sure I hope I did... it''s that when it rains, it pours. Papers and tests are scheduled when they are because that''s what makes sense for development of the curriculum, which applies across the board... hence "midterm week." It''s just normal college, besides, it could be a LOT LOT worse than 3 papers and 2 exams (I know it usually was for me).

The sprained ankle thing sucks, but you know it''s kinda the best outcome from falling down the stairs. Try to think about the bullet you dodged by not breaking anything, or worse!

The other posters are right, too, about the Honda Civic being one of THE most stolen cars. Hey, it happens. He won''t be financially responsible for it (I assume), there are no real major repercussions. It''s not like he totaled his car in an accident that was, legally, his fault, and now has to assume financial responsibility for a company car.

See? Everything could be a lot worse! So be happy.


Besides, if you let yourself think of it as a "bad week" instead of just "another week," you''ll forever associate badness with what should be one of your best pre-engagement experiences.

Civics among others are top stolen car because of their parts. Alot more anonymous breaking down a car and selling parts than a whole car, and as it is an older popular model those parts are in high demand.

And like Musey said, Professors don''t assign things to torture you. They assign things because it makes pedagogical sense in terms of helping you learn most effectively, and testing what you''ve learned. That''s just the way it goes! If you plan your time carefully, knowing when these crunches will happen, and don''t procrastinate and leave everything to the last minute, it will also make it easier. Been there! Done that! And it''s a lesson I was glad to finally learn (time management that is).

Hondas and Toyotas are stolen for parts and its probably scrapped by now. One reason they are stolen so easy is because the steering column and the ingnition switches are general parts. You can stick a jack knife in the ignition and turn it over and drive off and no one would be none the wiser.

The bright side is this....

You get to pick out your setting as well as "take your time". Wounds will heal and life will move on. At least this way if you are late for class, you have an excuse.

oh we know the car was stolen for scrap, the guys drove around last night and found another 4 with out motors...but everything else seemed ok...so they found a total of 11 stolen hondas...

its all good about school...i guess i just needed to vent...i think we all need one every now and then, the smesters almost over and then i get a month off and then comes spring and then my final year!!

haha i think ima go get a pedi to make my ankle brace look awesome and a mani for saturday...
