It is kind of sad that a 6.01ct Aquamarine would disappear around my neck if I set it plainly in a pendant!
So, rather than spending big money on a larger stone as seen in Jeff White's latest Gem Scoop maildrop (the biggest is allegedly a 60ct cut stone), I am going to set my Colorado Aqua in a brooch pendant setting instead.
Here is a video of the said cut stone, 6.01ct, 12.33 x 9.37 mm in size:
Here are the inspirational setting ideas for the brooch pendant - I particularly like the elongated oval shape.
The final design is likely to be an elongated oval with paved diamonds radiating from the centre stone which will be bezel-set in Rose Gold.
This piece would be part of the Aqua parure that I am building (with a natural blue Topaz in one of the pieces ).
Probably won't be made until next year or beyond.
Thanks for reading.
