Does anyone use the La Mer skin color line? I need something really good for every-day and special occasions. Especially for my wedding next year. I am interested in the foundation and powder. So, any reviews?

Have you tried Mary Kay? Just a suggestion just in case?

Hello! Thanks for replying. Hmm, not in a long time. My Mom sold it for a bit a while ago.

Thank you! If they don''t respond soon here I will post a thread for them.

they have reformulated it, it originally had terrible color choices and was very pink based. I think now it is really nice.

Cle de Peau has some really nice foundations, concealer and powder, as does Chantecaille, Bobbi Brown, and Laura Mercier.

Ohh I see. Hmm, I have pretty fair skin so that might be rough. I was thinking about trying Laura Mercier, so maybe I should check there.

I haven''t tried the La Mer colored line after the reformulation, but I can''t recommend the Cle de Peau and La Prairie highly enough! They''re my absolute favorites when it comes to higher end foundations. If you don''t mind the ridiculous price for about eight uses, the Shiseido air spray foundation wasn''t too bad either. They claim it lasts about two weeks of everyday use, but I guess that depends on how much you apply it per use. It''s not something I could afford for everyday though, nor would I want to; you need to hold it up for too long to get visible coverage. But it does look good!

SK II has a small air brush foundation too, and it is nice.

I also bought this airbrush thing from tv, forget the name, but there was an infomercial about it. I had my make up done in LA a few years ago by this famous artist, she did the show Friends for years and is always in InStyle and Allure as a consultant, and she used a Dinair machine. It looks great when she does it.

I have had great results with La Prairie.

Also, in the May Town&Country [which arrived a couple of days ago] on p. 100 there is a commentary on some of the new foundation offerings. Apparently, many of the new formulations now contain silicone so they go on very smoothly. You might want to have a look. I''m going to try out the new Dior [because of the collagen boost] and the Estee Lauder [which is supposed to stay put in heat and humidity - always a problem for me!]

Oops, thanks for catching my mistake, diamondfan! It was the SK-II one that I was talking about, not Shiseido. You mean the round, red ones with the little silver packets, right?

Blu, the Estee Lauder sounds like something I should try; imagine a June bride on honeymoon in the South Pacific! Oy.

yes, that is the one. It is kinda cool.

I own the dinair from a few years ago and this new lighter weight one.

the estee lauder make up is the one with more staying power in a tube, I am going to investigate it at Saks.
