Recieved my blue spinel today. She is dark and mysterious, and I love her! (I know she's far from ideal color and may not be everyone's cup of tea.) In my kitchen she is more Navy blue and outside more teal. She will be getting a white gold and diamond halo for contrast.

Oh I love her too! Ideal color is all good, but it’s a shame if it is the only defining parameter for beauty. One has to have eyes for such lovely, subtle colors and tones. She’s the epitome of mysterious.

Thank you @LisaRN and @Bluegemz! I agree about appreciating the other than ideal colors. Although I think ideal Cornflower blue sapphires are incredibly beautiful and I would love to have one, I wouldn't trade my sapphire (seen in these pics) for anything. Seriously.
