i don’t know if there’s a jewelry thread on the Oscars last night, but for those like me, that rarely venture out of the Colored Stones forum, I wanted to post this. When I saw her last night, I instantly thought, “Is that what I think it is?”

She is the third woman to ever wear this gem (Audrey was the last).

To me, besides Freddie of course, this gem was the star of the show!!

Lucky Lady Gaga!!

That's the Tiffany Canary, isn't it?

I’ve seen it in person on exhibition at a museum. It’s amazing! I kept rewinding my DVR to just look at her necklace. I bet many if you noticed the jewelry more than the actual celebrities, lol!

It is soooooooooooooo beautiful!

I certainly watch for the jewelry and the fashion (but mostly the jewelry ).

She reminds me of an elegant blonde actress whose name escapes me.

Wonder how heavy that beauty is?

That is exactly what I thought when I saw it and I immediately googled it!
I loved it and their performance too. I recently performed that song and I was studying her performance but kept getting distracted by that beauty!

Gorgeous!!

I remember the colourless diamonds are quite huge. Is the necklace too tight for her?

I didn't watch the show but I did search every photo of that necklace on the internet.

I thought it fit her perfectly.

What a beautiful high crown it has. I’m a sucker for gems with high crowns, extra sparkle factor.

She's come a long way since the last time I saw her a few years ago; 1am at a rock 'n' roll bar in Melbourne, wearing fishnets and nearly knocking over my pint of beer because she kept crawling around on the bar top :lol:

Fabulous jewellery and what a history to it! I can’t imagine how special you’d feel to be allowed to wear it!!!
Loved their duet, such intensity and totally being in the moment...wow!

It used to be in a broach setting with a golden bird. I have to say this necklace drop setting is a million times more spectacular. It’s probably the most beautiful piece of jewelry at not just this award ceremony, but of many.

Lady Gaga started turning more popular when she did the “Sound of Music” medley at the anniversary of the film a few Academy Awards back. Dame Julie Andrews, probably the most beloved celebrity ever, blessed her performance. After that, the meat dresses disappeared, and people could really appreciate her talent. She has obviously reached a pinnacle in elegance with her beautiful dresses at the awards, and having the privilege of wearing this priceless gem.

Now I am catching up!

What color is the Tiffany? (stab in the dark: FBY)

The cut is magic. Funny that YF wrote much of it & made his versions not a year ago.

I cannot find the color grade, but “canary” color usually refers to fancy intense or fancy vivid yellow, without deep tones.

I do not remember a GIA standard grade. The FBY is what I see in the pictures of Lady G - there is hardly any color in day light, etc.

canary - canard - all birds this diamond does not need

I think it is fancy intense yellow vs 2 or 1

@pwsg07 I can believe FI - because the diamond is so large & color adds up over optics and volume... & pictures could not catch color temperature or subtle variations of saturation!

Totally agree, I have utmost respect for now, a captivating actress. I think she's matured past her weird days. Let's hope, because she has a lot to offer.
