This may be TMI and I apologize in advance...

So for the past two weeks I''ve been convinced I was pregnant. It makes no sense, I keep track of things on a calendar and knew I wasn''t due until this week, but I was still FREAKED every day when I didn''t get my period. I''ve had zero signs of it coming as well, so I''ve been a bit concerned. I was just about to mention it to my mom today when I received confirmation that I am in fact NOT pregnant! Phew! Totally irrational crazy bride over here ladies.

No need to comment, just had to share one of my many neuroses.

Oh sweetie, you poor thing. Stress can send your cycle crazy, and the stress of waiting for it can make it worse.

Glad to hear it''s all good though, you can enjoy lots of bubbly at your wedding now

I am glad you don''t have to worry about being pregnant on your wedding day! Can you imagine if you were and had morning sickness?

If it makes you feel any better Hudson I''ve been really scared that I''m pregnant ever since our wedding. I don''t have a reason to be worried since I am on BC pills but I am still anxiously awaiting the arrival of AF. You''re not crazy! I promise you.

Awe Hudson ... It is ALL Wedding Jitters you are experiecing. I am assuming it is since that is just what I am going threw! Not the pregnant part but the mind and body playing tricks on me. We are just consumed by wedding stuff. 5 days for you now?

Oh, Hudson, tell me about it.

That was one of my most irrational and yet obsessive fears before the wedding.
When I found my dress, I was just trying it on when another bride to be walked out of the dressing room next to mine. OMG, the girl was like 8-9 months pregnant, probably with triplets: she was HUGE. They just couldn''t find her a dress that was big enough to accommodate her belly and she looked absolutely miserable.
That was it. I bought the dress and I was panicking from that moment on untill weeks before the wedding that I''ll get pregnant, I''ll become huge and I wouldn''t be able to wear my gorgeous dress... or any dress! Stupid, I know. Does that make you feel any better about your own neuroses?

haha you need to watch the "how i met your mother" episode where barney celebrates "i''m not a father''s day"

congrats on not being preg! now enjoy your wedding!

My FSIL called and said she had a dream that I got pregnant a couple months before the wedding. Freaked me out. I told FI that if I institute a "no nookie" clause for 3 months before the wedding to blame his sister''s subconcious.

Same thing happened to me last month. It was all the stress and my period just came a few days late. Irrationality can rule us silly women sometimes and it sucks big time! Only 5 more days now!

OMG, Clairitek, I was so the same way. A friend of ours get pregnant like the wedding weekend and ended up pregnant with her husband away on business for a couple months. EEK! We were just married and my husband is going away on business which is almost exactly the same timing as our friend''s last year. I am on BC pills too, but it made me no less neurotic. Thank goodness I got my monthly friend last week...whew...

Hudson, you are so not crazy. It''s just one more worry a woman has to add to her list, lol

I''m 10 months from our wedding & I just started taking birth control again for that same reason... my period is usually regular, but for some reason, my last cycle was 9 weeks. I took 3 pregnancy tests & went to see the doctor (turns out I was not). I just have this fear that I would be a bride- 6 months pregnant or something. I didn''t want to start BC again, but I just couldn''t handle the thought!

We feel your pain! Breathe in, breathe out... it''s ok!

This is a very funny thread.

HH you''ll have a beautiful wedding

Haaaaaaa! HH - we must be on a similar wavelength because I was also having a bit of a worry that I was pregnant - even though I have an IUD and know that missing AF is par for the course.

Funny story - somewhat related: registered on Sunday and that evening I started to get weird texts - one from my friends husband which said, "Are you with child?" - I had no idea why these people were asking me this but I felt my heart start to pound - as if somewhere out there was a postive pregnancy test with my name on it that I didn't remember taking. Turns out, the scanning gun at Target had some residual items from the last user and my registry somehow got sprinkled with a few baby items thus the probing text messages. Made me laugh until I cried though!

I can't WAIT to see photos from your big day!!!

OMG Are you kidding me KTF? I think my mother would hit the roof (in a good way)if that happened and she thought I was PG.

HH that is actually the person I had to make sure did not see the registry pre-deletion fever - because my very poor mother would have thought that I was indeed pregnant and she would have gotten so excited. I am so glad she didn''t see it and I was able to tell her the story which did generate a lot of laughter between us.

Hudson Hawk I would definitely put it down to stress! Do not stress more about it or it will end up driving you mad!

I do know what you mean about the whole nightmare of getting pregnant. DF and I were discussing my depo-provera and how long it takes for fertility to return, and although we don''t get married for a year, we have made the decision to come off the injection and use other "ahem" barrier methods. It is the right choice for us as I have PCOS and have been advised by the Gentics Doctors to get cracking with the baby making (not exactly their words) but we don''t want to try until after we are married. Anyway, the joy of depo-provera is there is no user error, if you get it done on time. I''m petrified of a little "accident" prior to the weddin!

Her Sapphire lover! I was a Depo user too, for probably 6-7 years, and it took quite a while for my periods to return to normal. I even had to start taking BC pills to get a monthly happening, even then it took months for me to actually get a period. They say it can take up to 2 years after your last shot for your fertility to come back. About 3 years ago, I dumped everything and we started using condoms. Best thing we ever did, my body is much happier without the Depo! Good luck.

Sorry for the threadjack!
