Leon Mege and GOG cushion

I found Pricescope by following a google images photo of Neatfreak's east-west bezel. Pretty soon I knew I wanted (needed) an AVC set in a Leon Mege bezel solitaire, but I also knew this combination was impossible since Leon won't set AVCs anymore. Then Diamondseeker2006 came to the rescue with her semi-mount (endless thanks, DS!!).

I ended up getting a 'Premium' GOG antique cushion, not an AVC, and I couldn't be happier (1 carat, i, vs2, faint fluor, 5.72x6.03). This diamond is mesmerising--after seeing Cachette's magic rainbow video, I knew no other diamond could ever compare; now I get to watch that light play every day!

Its friends are a 2mm Tiffany lucida, and a channel set, single cut full eternity from 1930 (size 5.5).

thecat, I certainly can! The ring was a classic Leon Mege solitaire, but I had my jeweller bezel the prongs so I can wear it safely around my children (and my silks and knits!).

I wish I'd gotten around to taking these macro photos when the ring was newly polished, but better late than never.

This was such a long time coming, and I feel very lucky every day that my beautiful husband let my obsession come to fruition. He says he'd deny me nothing after being there through two drug-free labours

Acinom, I can barely take my eyes off my hand! (as I'm sure you'd know with your amazing ring). I thought that once this was all done I could begin to wean myself off the bling obsession, but it's just brought it more into focus, so to speak

Cachette, thank you for posting it. I think GOG should be so grateful--I can't imagine how many people have seen that video and decided on an AVC then and there (I did!). I should mention, when I showed your video to one jeweller she told me it was faked with coloured spotlighting, rofl!!

artdecolover71, I just set up on the back deck on a sunnyish day, with a macro lens and tripod. I've never found photography so satisfying
