Hello all of you
tongue.gif

I often visit here to read you guys stories and I love it so I thought why don''t I join you guys, so here I am now!

I am a Japanese girl, living the capital, Tokyo, and my boyfriend is an American. I have been with him for a year and 2 months now.

I have posted long time ago, asking about "what''s the meaning of diamond?" (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/rings-for-women-but-what-for-men.8102/) long time ago.

I asked you guys that my boyfriend gave me a diamond ring for my birthday and I never bought diamond and I couldn''t ask my boyfriend why he gave me such meaningful present so I posted it to ask your opinion.

But it is solved! I am engaged with my boyfriend last October.
Well, actually I couldn''t ask him why he gave me this ring for my birthday. My birthday is in March and he proposed me in October so I had wondered a lot. He acted like he didn''t know about giving diamond to a girlfriend could be meaningful. Actually I wear a lot of rings because my fingers are double-jointed and I hate them since I was little. He knows it and he thought it would be nice to give me a ring on my birthday. He is American but he is in the Navy stationed in Japan, so he went to one of department stores around here. But I suppose places have English (sometimes French or whatever the foreign languages are!) display to look nice, and I am kinda sure he could read what kind of shop he went in. Well, he bought me platinum with a diamond (like 0.03 carat) and gave it to me on my birthday night. Then we had lots of things (like having fun and arguments...) til the day I never forget. We had huge argument the night before he proposed me, but mostly it was me who were mad, and I told him not to call me anymore. (We had arguments over the phone) I was that mad at him. It happened in the morning and I went to work as usual and felt so bad and empty and you know, that kind of nasty feeling. I told my senior who I really rely on her, and she said I shouldn''t have done that much. I should be more open-minded and forget about it, (she said that''s the way women can control guys

) then I called him in the afternoon telling him what I felt over this argument and he was happy to talk to me again. And he asked me to go out after my work and go out for dinner. I was so happy to see him again that night. We had some of our friends together at the restaurant and he had no sign of proposing me. On the way home, we were waiting for our train to come at the platform and he suddenly asked me where I want to live in the future. I thought it was weird because he never asked me that kind of question, but I really like Spain, so I told him. He said "that''s nice, I like it, too and I can speak Spanish". I thought why he was talking like "us". And after that question, he asked me to marry him. And of course I told him yes. I was kind of scared of our relationship, bacause he is only here in my country for few years, and I wondered what we will be after he finishes his naval career here. But I couldn''t ask him. And now, that the diamond ring is our engagement ring

And actually I have 3 rings on my ring finger. He gave me another silver/platinum (silver on the surface) with rose curves on and other one is made of fine steel (now it is kinda fashon in Japan, cause it is cheaper than platinum but it shines nicely and it can''t be dameged easily) and it is same as him.

Well, thanks a lot for reading my story. I am glad to anounce you guys about me and my story.

Welcome to Pricescope Aqua...

I think out of all the places I have lived Japan was an area I would always like to go back and visit. Very warm and Tropical..I remember fondly visiting Tokyo and going to Disneyland during my days of competetive swimming. In 1984 I competed in the Junior Olympics held there...

Neat reading about you and I hope you stick around...

Again Welcome to Pricescope../idealbb/images/smilies/wavey.gif
