My girlfriend has a requested a good-quality "letter C" necklace, as the one she has is made from cheaper materials and the metal has tarnished.

What are some good sites that carry such things? Budget is likely $100, but I would like good materials. Only condition is that she prefers silver/white gold, so I'd like to stay away from yellow gold.

Thanks so much for your help!

Tiffany''s makes a really pretty sterling silver letter charm in your price range, I believe.

I was going to suggest Tiffany as well. It's elsa peretti's alphabet line, very sleek, love that line. BUT the letters are $150/each. Here is an "inspired by tiffany" collection.

If you want something a little different, this and this (shopintuition.com) might give you ideas!

If you do a google search for "initial necklace" or "initial pendant" you'll get TONS of results to poke through. Search results.

I have the Elsa Peritti K (its cursive and looks like an R) and I get compliments all the time. It is small, understated, but the metal is so lovely and fluid. I heart it very much. *muah*

Thanks for posting this because I was interested in this charm for myself, but wasn''t sure if it looked too much like an R. It looks like that is going on my wish list!

I was thinking about the "k" too. Then I wanted my last initial instead of first, but I don't like the elsa peretti "s." Luckily the "m" is super-cute and that's FI's last initial

I've been hinting that I want that as a piece of wedding wear!!

ooh ooh! May have found something to fit the bill... regular $295, on sale for $78.
White gold with tiny diamonds
Oh, wow! That''s perfect! But... it looks like they only have letters I, O, U, X, Y, Z.

That''s so perfect, though. I hope I can find something similar, in a "C".

I do like the Tiffany''s-style cursive design too (actually, I love it), but I''m not sure whether my girlfriend would like it as much.

Oh no!! I didn't see that. What a bummer. I'll let you know if I run across something similar!!

ETA: I found another site that sells the exact same one by the same designer, but it's selling for $360. http://www.aloharag.com/product.asp?s_id=0&dept_id=4549&pf_id=PAAAAAOHPHDDLCEP&px_id=60

Do you specifically want diamonds on it? You may have a hard time, barring another sale, finding a pendant w/ diamond pave for under $100 (especially one that is of good quality).

Here's one without pave, just silver, $25

Another silver one, $33

Silver w/ crystals, $23

It seems like everything I'm finding is either way under (ie not the materials you're looking for) or way over (ie right materials therefore too expensive) your budget.

ETA: Hmm, those second two links aren't working well, but just search for "initial" on that site.

I went on a hunt, and have narrowed it down to these two pieces:

http://www.ice.com/customer/product_detail.jsp?product=109148890

I so love the first one with the heart, but: it''s sterling silver. I don''t have a problem with silver, but how easily does it tarnish? This is something that''s going to be worn constantly. As well, the item description doesn''t mention diamond quality. I don''t obsess over clarity and colour, but it seems like it would be wise to know just what you''re paying for. What do you guys think? Should I go for this because I love the design, or would you recommend caution?

The second piece is also lovely. In fact, I think I prefer the letter itself in this one. There''s just no heart. But this piece is not only cheaper (though not really an issue), but is made out of better material! 14k white gold.

Bearing in mind that the difference in price between the two is not an issue for me whatsoever, what would your opinion be?

Thanks so much.

This is an old thread, but just in case you''re still working on it -- my mother and I both have the Tiffany Elsa Peretti C, and while it''s gorgeous and we both get so many compliments on it, it flips around all the time so it looks like it was put it on backwards. Rrrrrg.
