Thanks for your patience friends, I had a slow start today!
First, a correction. The floral band is size 8.5, not 8.
And so it begins. Photos first, then description and Etsy links at the end. My sincere apologies to the lovely international friends who have adopted jewels from me before but the US postal service is insane at the moment so these are for US shipping only. When things get better I will make it up to you!
Ok, first, the Art Deco star motif band: 14k white gold (no Rhodium, original unplated) weighing 1.3g, 2mm thick, rises up 1.2mm (domed) in perfect condition without interruption to the design.
You’ll never find another one.
This ring is Great Gatsby + Busby Berkeley combined, and makes for a wonderful stack (can you imagine this nestled with a single-cut eternity and maybe an old miner solitaire? OMG).
The stars and diamond/pastille shapes are stamped, I believe, rather than engraved, so they are crisp and refined, not messy or worn. Best of all, though, are the edges. There is the most delicate perfect milgrain along the sides, hardly noticeable until you zoom in, but when you do, wow! The whole effect is very Art Deco, subtly Moderne, full of silent firecrackers. Promise me you’ll share pics of the stack you make with this beauty!
The floral band is one I had never planned to let go, because it’s just what I wanted (and searched forever to find) to wear with Buttercup. But I’ve decided that as chunky as Buttercup is, she needs a beefier band. Let me know if you find a holy grail like this one in a 3mm size because I can’t find one!
Anyway, this beautiful ring is inscribed with a romantic message of love and dated 1920, “Lou (or maybe Sam) to Ruth, Mar 1, ‘20” (however the ring may have been produced earlier, circa 1910). I don’t know who Ruth was, but she must have been adored. Lucky girl.
It weighs a substantial 2.41g and is a difficult-to-find size 8.5, in two-tone 18k gold. The inner half of the ring is a rich yellow gold, and the outer side is white gold with a bright white rhodium finish.
Perfect for stacking and sturdy enough for daily wear. Absolutely luscious and romantic! Priced competitively with others online and frankly, taking a loss here. $295.00 with free shipping.
