Hi ladies!
I just had a great weekend and am feeling so happy I wanted to share! Sorry this is lengthy!
So, this weekend was our last weekend just hanging out before school starts up again and our lives get crazy! This is pretty much all we do during the semester:
I know, we''re totally boring.
On Friday, after he enjoyed an extended happy hour after work with some co-workers, we met up for dinner downtown. He was a bit tipsy (not too bad, just jovial and chatty!), me not so much (ok, not at all!). So I order a cocktail (dirty martini, extra dirty with three olives if you''re wondering!) and we are chatting. He says we probably won''t have much time to get out together this fall with our schedules, and I agree. He says "probably not until we get engaged and go out to celebrate!"
He usually doesn''t throw these lines out there.
So, I''m feeling bold, and I say "Oh, when might that be? Say...less than 3 months?"
He says: "Yes"
Me: Less than two months?
Him: (thinks to himself, you can tell he''s trying to figure it out) Yes
Me: Really, before October 15th?!?!
Him: Maybe...(thinks to himself again, you can tell he has miscalculated). Well, I will tell you this. It will definitely be before November 1st.
Me:
I don''t want to push it anymore, so I just sort of drop it. Then like 5 minutes later he asks me how I picture my proposal. I tell him I don''t, and we both laugh because we know that isn''t true. I tell him I''m not saying anything, that whatever he plans is perfect, and I have no lofty expectations, really.
Overall, this was a really fun, flirty conversation
So then Saturday night, we went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant (I told you this was the last fun weekend before school!) and are drinking margaritas (on the rocks with salt, if you''re wondering. Had one for you ladies!)
Our ENTIRE conversation on Saturday night revolved around our wedding - ahhh! We talked about if we would do a honeymoon, if so where, what date we might get married, I gave him a little lesson on how booking and deposits work, we talked about who would be in our bridal party, etc. It was AWESOME!
As if that weren''t enough, we spent Sunday afternoon watching wedding ****: "Whose wedding is it anyway?" three times in a row and chatting about the episodes, etc.
So not only did we have a nice, relaxing weekend with just the two of us before we dive back into the books, but we talked about weddings AND I got an updated timeline!
I am about 85% sure he hasn''t bought the ring yet, and unless he''s REALLY trying to throw me off (which I doubt) I am thinking he might propose end of October!
Yay, thanks for reading and sharing!
