I am having a slight anxiety attack here as I let go of some of my favorite babies. But what good are they doing at the bank, really? Plus, I'll feel good assisting in (hopefully) so many well-placed adoptions.

Without further ado, I am selling:

- 3.9 cushion chryso - really well cut;

- 2.14 ct red Mogok spinel - cushion cut - pretty darn red too; (has a full GIA lab report)

- .85 tcw heat only yellow Sri Lankan sapphires - they are bright and yellow with no modifiers - good for daughter studs or halo'd earrings.

- about 8 more to follow!

I hate it when it stops me from adding more pics! Pics are fun - we love pics!

Another one I'm about to list - Dana Cuprian. Definitely on the greenish side.

Any lavender Vietnamese spinels? =)

These are beautiful, I really can't wait to see what else you're going to offer..I'm curious, would you be open to potential trades or partial trade/cash?

Minou -- can only find 2 listings on LT. Tell me about the cuprian, please.

Hi Laurie: contact me through LT if you can and I'll tell you more? I haven't gotten it up yet! But I'll do it right now...in the meantime, pics of the small blue sapphire I just put up :))

I don't know, nothing specific really. I just like practically everything you've put up, lol. But most of my nicer gems are probably smaller than you'd be interested in - you have a lot of nice sized gems! Most of mine are more like 1 ct. I have a 1.47 ct color change garnet from Gene that's very nice (the one he had listed on his site for awhile for $735); I've been considering listing or offering to trade simply bc I've realized I don't think I'll set it. But I realize that the collector market for those gems is smaller than most. I keep debating on what to do with it, I go back and forth... I have a medium colored tsav too, it's barely over one carat but faces nicely at about 7 x 5. Wasn't really planning to let it go but I recently bought another one so now I'm thinking about it. It's rectangular cushion cut, in the $300 price range just to give you an idea. Not sure is these are of any interest to you, I'm just sort of throwing ideas out there right now off the top of my head, lol.

I always have some things up on eBay for sale too; you could look at my auctions if you were interested, mostly silver stuff but a couple 14k things. Just search by seller - katharath.

But I'm curious about the sapphire - it's very pretty. (I'm actually having a pair of small Ceylon blues shipped to me probably tomorrow to look at, but still...). Do you know the origin? It's a great price.

Hi!

I emailed you about the cuprian and sapphire! Just wanted you to know:)

The sapphire: Drool. Love it!

Sapphire is sold, thanks!

Thanks, Minou! Love the cuprian. It's tempting, but I decided yesterday to have Dan & Caren set my tiny Montanas into a part-eternity, which means I have to cool other stuff for a while. I'm sure it'll be gone by the weekend -- it's very nice!

Yay!!! And no worries, Laurie, this stone had a few people interested, so I'm pretty sure it will sell :praise: That's a win win win! :))

HI:

Are the yellow sapphires and spinel available? Would you happen to have the dimensions of the sapphires?

Could you sharing where you got (who cut) the spinel? Thanks

Cheers--Sharon

Hi Sharon: I'm sorry I've been remiss in updating this thread. The red spinel is no longer available (but wasn't precision cut anyway) and the yellow sapphires are 4.9x4.2x2.7mm, 4.9x4.2x2.5mm - not badly cut (came cut out of Sri Lanka).

HTH.

Minou, did you see that someone is selling a 3ct chrysoberyl for 500 dollars? And yours is only 490 and it's basically a carat bigger! What!!! I can't believe yours hasn't sold.
