Last week I paid a long overdue visit to BGD and did I have fun. I got to see some of the beautiful pieces from the Cape Series. To be honest, I am very color sensitive and thought I wouldn't like the warmth of the diamonds. Boy was I surprised. These diamonds are cut the same as the Brian Gavin Signature Hearts & Arrows, so of course they perform incredibly. They are just in the warmer colors.

I got to try on the Athena. The center stone was a Cape with the side pears F/G. The combination was beautiful. I tried on another beauty, this time with a halo. I was surprised how much I liked the Cape diamond surrounded by the white melee. The center stone reminded me of a french vanilla color.

Then Brian showed me a pair of 4 ctw. studs. OMG! They were gorgeous!

Brian let me hold an 8 ct. Brian Gavin Signature Hearts & Arrows unset diamond. I was so afraid I was going to drop it.

Please bear with me. I am a lousy picture taker and I have "old lady hands" ;) but I think you can get an idea of how pretty these diamonds really are.

They're beautiful stones - thank you for sharing. I've been lurking around, looking at his cape stones recently. Glad you were able to see in person. :wavey:

I ended up getting my daughter a beautiful Kelim sterling silver bracelet in the Forget Me Not pattern. She loved it. I also tried on the Kelim cuff bracelet in the Leaf pattern.

Pretty! I like the halo color contrast as well. Thanks for sharing theses pictures with us!

How fun, thank you for sharing all these yummy pictures!! Gaw....an 8 carat BGD Signature, are you kidding me??? And I love those capes.....just luscious.

The Forget Me Not and Leaf bracelets are just beautiful too. :appl:

Queenie The Capes were such beautiful diamonds with such a warm creamy color. The pictures don't do them justice.

aac I too think the halo was my favorite and I'm not a halo person. With the contrast of colors, the halo made the Cape be front and center and the star.

JDDN I thought I was going to die when Brian brought out the 8 ct. I have small hands, but I know I could "rock" that 8ct

Thank you for all the pics!!! I was just going to say you could totally rock that 8 carat!!!!

Arkieb1I think I could too. Now I just have to get a money tree and convince DH. :Up_to_something:

FUN!!!! Thanks for sharing!

Wow - so fun!!! I hope to visit BGD one day!!

Beautiful - thanks for sharing your day with us! How fun to see all of those beautiful diamonds!

That halo is gorgeous! Is the cape series M color and down? I do like warmer colors but have never tried the lower colors. This picture has convinced me that I may like them. Yummy!

Pinto BeanI hope you can visit BGD. Brian and Lesley are great people and playing in their "jewelry box" is so much fun.

Bailey_Lou Yes, the Cape series is M and below. I believe, but I'm not positive that the center diamond in the halo was an M. It really was a gorgeous combination.

I really like the halo as well!

I wonder who will the lucky on to wear that 8 carat!!

Those cape diamonds are really pretty! I would totally wear one!

:wavey: Sorry I am late catching up around here! Glad you had a fun trip! I also really like lower colored center stones with a whiter halo for contrast. I usually think of antique stones done like that, but this one was very pretty in a modern round! Thanks for taking pics for us!

What an exciting opportunity - thanks for sharing your visit with us. And it nice to see some pictures of the Cape diamonds.

Thanks for sharing...always fun to play in the same sandbox with the jewelers!

DiamondSeeker I too was so surprised at how much I liked the contrast of the Cape H&A diamond with the white diamond halo. Really very elegant.

TyTy, Nothing like playing in one of our vendor's jewelry boxes.
