My wedding band!

I definitely needed some bling to wake me up after a two-week trip out of the country with 40 high schoolers!

The wedding band is a full eternity shared-prong band set in platinum.
7 pointers
1.61 total carat weight

I love it! My e-ring is a 2.01 ct cushion set in a full eternity shared-prong platinum band with 4 pointers. I was originally going to go with a wedding band with 13 pointers, but when we went in to make the final purchase I decided I liked the 7 pointers much better. There''s an old thread somewhere with the larger band.

Here''s the purdy box it came in. I know I always say this, but I absolutely adore our jeweler. If you''re in Illinois, you must check them out.

reader--Is your child going on a school trip? What a wonderful gift. I have to say having survived (I mean, just finished) a school trip out of the country, I really think these experiences can have a serious, positive impact on a kid''s life. You must be a fabulously supportive parent to send your child on one. It was incredible to see our students change in such a short time. I was just grateful I got to tag along, because heaven knows I wouldn''t have been able to afford it right now myself.

Oh, and if you like my set you should check out the thread Mara started for eternity sets. I tried to start a new one a while back but it faded out pretty quickly. Mara''s thread gets me drooling every time.
