Thanks for your interest @Nikki1415 ! I'll give @pearaffair first dibs since it's her thread to be fair like @mrs-b mentioned, but here is more info and pricing on the stones for anyone interested .How much are the spinel and westview tourmaline?
I have several I plan to sell, but just haven’t listed yet. I thought about making a gemstone by the yard necklace with some of them, but probably won’t get around to it. Let me know if anything interest you and I can get you the exact measurements. The sapphire would be the most expensive of the group and the others would be around or under $100 each. They are from top to bottom in the first pic:
Gemfix Blue Sapphire
Chrysoberyl
Barry B Mint Tourmaline
Westview Gems Green Tourmaline
Barry B Purple Spinel
Jeff Davies Green Tourmaline

@2Neezers Great options you are offering up!
@pearaffair If you have a pic of your setting, and want help seeing how one/more of them may look, I’d be happy to put my iPad & iPen to work for you.
I believe the spess I have for sale on my listing is 6mm, but I'd have to double check. I'd be selling it for $60 alone, or $50 if the person was buying other stones (just to cover shipping, etc).
I will say that while the purple spinel features Barry’s fabulous cutting, it is more of a muted purple and what I would call a moody color, so you would want to like that in a stone if you were to choose it, where @lovedogs spessartite would be a brighter pop of color.
Sorry @pearaffair - definitely not trying to pressure you. Just making sure you get first pick.

Sure! I will take a picture of it setting loose in a ring mount I have tomorrow morningHmmmm k cool, good point. Any chance I could compel you to post another pic?
Does the dark green tourmaline sparkle (never had one before)? I like that it's almost an Emerald green color. I'll wait until @pearaffair makes her choice but I call dibs if she doesn't buy it.Thanks for your interest @Nikki1415 ! *Barry B Purple Spinel, 5.95mm, I purchased this one on LoupeTroop from katharath and she didn't recall it's weight, $95
*Jeff Davies Dark Green Tourmaline, 6.25mm, I unable to locate the weight for this one, This one is priced a lot lower than I paid for it due to it's dark color, $40
Even thought that one is a precision cut stone, tourmaline won't sparkle the way a diamond or even a spinel can. Since it is a dark stone, it would probably show the best color in an open setting, like a four prong setting. I'll take more pics of that stone in the morning too .Does the dark green tourmaline sparkle (never had one before)? I like that it's almost an Emerald green color. Does it flash other colors besides green? I like that it's an Emerald color without the durability issues.Even thought that one is a precision cut stone, tourmaline won't sparkle the way a diamond or even a spinel can. @pearaffair That green tourmaline (or another green stone) in that rose gold setting would be so lovely. I was amazed once to see how well rose gold complements green stones. Long before I sold my alex (and before I’d decided on a setting for it), I had my jeweler place it on a RG setting, and it was just divine. I never would have thought to put those two colors together until I saw it with my own eyes.
Here’s a visual for you:
(ETA: I’d forgotten to add the spinel to the other ring)
Hi @pearaffair ! Here are various photos I took of the spinel sitting in a mounting either under my kitchen lighting or in natural overcast winter lighting with my back to a window. I would say the color is looking like a steely purple today. Please let me know if you have any questions .Hmmmm k cool, good point. Any chance I could compel you to post another pic?
Hi @Nikki1415 ! It will only show the dark green color and is a dark stone, so make sure that is okay with you if you are interested in it. I took a group of photos in the same lighting as the spinel. Please let me know if you have any other questionsDoes it flash other colors besides green? That sounds great! The color of the bright green tourmaline is very prettyIf the bright green tourmaline is still available once the dust settles, I would be interested! (and also possibly said moody purple spinel....)
And @pearaffair, if my measly two cents matter at all, I am kind of loving the bright pop of color in the platinum setting. I know you are considering the spinel at this point buuuutttt..... (And my own interest in the spinel has nothing to do with this comment. Haha.)
Yes, absolutely!Once @pearaffair has picked a stone, may I please hop in line for the mint green tourm @2Neezers? What an amazing selection you have!
